Read moreThe menu is all in Chinese, but I showed the staff a paper written in Chinese that I don’t eat dairy, eggs nor honey, so she crossed out on the menu all the items I shouldn’t order.
The food was pretty good and it came quickly.

Nice small restaurant - Edit
There is a nice range of dishes to choose from in this small restaurant. I chose the bibimbap, which was delicious. They provided the option to omit the egg and cheese. Prices were reasonable and staff were friendly. The menu is only in Chinese.

All-vegetarian restaurant with lots of options. The menu is only in Mandarin, but staff will help recommend some options. My partner and I shared the aubergine curry and chicken curry, both of which were delicious. The aubergine was particularly good. Close to Chiayi Station, and very well priced.

Great bibimbap - Edit
Make sure you get there an hour before the closing time, the first time I tried to eat there at 7:45 (45 minutes before closing time) they turned me away because I was too late. However, I went the next night and got the bibimbap which was awesome. The following day I tried the Thai style noodles which were okay - not very spicy nor tasty. Meals are either $160 or $200 each and staff are helpful as the menu is not in English.

Convenient vegan friendly spot with a lovely owner - Edit
No English menu but the cons stop there! We visited this little place twice in two days. The chef/owner is an absolute star. We explained that we were vegan, and she ran through the menu with us and helped us choose yummy dishes both times. We tried the Kimchi bibimbap (comes in a sizzling hot cast iron bowl), which she showed us how to prepare and eat, and also some of the Japanese style curry. both dishes were delicious, promptly prepares, great serving sizes and great value for money. Free cold drinks (get the pink one) and each meal comes with an interesting take on a miso broth.
