Jackfruit BBQ and Craft Cocktails! - Edit
Every time I am in South Florida, I try to host a big dinner of my close friends in the area at some place fun and accommodating.
Read moreBatch has been a West Palm Beach staple for a number of years now, offering great southern food that happens to be extremely vegan friendly. Substantial options are an impossible burger, vegan chili, and bbq jackfruit sandwich. My favorite has always been the bbq jackfruit sandwich as it is cooked perfectly and spiced to taste like a North Carolina pulled pork sandwich - complete with mustard BBQ sauce. The sandwich is a filling size and comes with a side of fries or salad.
The bar at batch is also really solid. Although known for whiskey, my favorite drink on the menu is the 305 Collins a pre-batch black-tea infused passionfruit vodka cocktail that pays homage to Batch's Miami Heritage. There are a number of other really great cocktails as well.
What made this last trip special is that we were easily able to get a table of 7, split the checks multiple ways, and had great service throughout the night. At one point, a bartender asked us a trivia question for a shot of their house made cinnamon vodka. Because we got the question right, we got to try that too.
Where as most BBQ places can be a real tough sell for vegans, Batch has crafted some great vegan meals, a craft cocktail menu worth trying, and an experience that comes with an experienced hospitality group.
Pros: Multiple BBQ Vegan Options, Accommodates Large Parties, Good Cocktail List
Cons: Most Parking is Paid, More Expensive than Usual BBQ

Excellent - Edit
Great atmosphere and bbq jackfruit! Stopped here on a trip down 95. It was a fast stop. A little further off the main road than I planned but fine. Jackfruit barbecue was excellent. Fries were fantastic, although they are fried in the same oil as everything else on the menu. However, they do offer a side salad if that concerns you.

A few good vegan options - Edit
Had to find a place to go with friends, and this was near the clubs they wanted to go to afterwards. So… a convenient location.
Read moreI had the BBQ jackfruit sandwich. It was really good, and the portion was big. Downside - not much protein, so I was full but not satisfied.
I definitely recommend going here if you’re with a group who wants options.
Make a reservation- they were packed. Ask for outside if that’s your thing. Inside was noisy.
Pros: Options, Convenient , Nice outside seating
Cons: Noisy inside, Busy, so service was a little slow

Set the standard - Edit
I will always have high standards for the way jackfruit is prepared because of Batch’s divine BBQ pulled “pork” jackfruit sandwich.

Just three vegan options available. - Edit
Out of the four “grass fed” options, only three are vegan. The veggie pot pie is vegetarian.

I had the Impossible burger, typical and just okay. Salad was available as a side.

Way better than we imagined - Edit
We stumbled across this place when we saw that the other place we wanted to go was closed. They had a big sign in the street advertising veg options. The service was fantastic and we both ordered the BBQ Jackfruit sandwiches and loved them! The fries were also tasty and they have a great selection of beers and other drinks and they even gave us a free homemade mixed shot that tasted like sweet cinnamon apples. If you’re looking for southern style food and hospitality, check out Batch!

Some vegan options - Edit
I went there and I got the bbq pulled jackfruit sandwich which was very good. The impossible burger sadly comes with dairy based aioli so you have to request ketchup (wish they had a vegan aioli) which is what my friend got

Cons: Expensive, Not many vegan options
