Great atmosphere

Baszta is located in an old city fortification tower (hence the name Baszta). For me that's already reason enough to check it out. The atmosphere is great. And the food does the job as well. I've been here a few times and haven't been disappointed. The Pieczone Francuskie with tempeh have been my favorite thus far. (I don't remember what that is in English.)

And as far as veg restaurants in Wrocław it's also open late, 23:00 on weekends. It's not easy to find good veg food that late otherwise.

Pros: food, open late, atmosphere

Extraordinary place and food

This place is really extraordinary.
Beside the fact that the restaurant is in an old tower, which makes it exceptional in the first place, the food is vegan thai! Not polish!
There are 5 types of pad thai! I honestly recommend to try the one with the black pepper sauce. It's really amazing.

Pros: Delicious food, Good prices, Extraordinary place - Tower

Very nice!

Let's start with the fact that the restaurant is in the old city tower which adds a ton of atmosphere to it. However, food is also very nice! It's the most authentic Asian/ mostly Thai food I have seen in Poland. I had a ramen (not really thai) but it was quite good, not amazing, but good. I had the kimchi one and it was supposed to be quite hot I think, but it wasn't. I really loved their curry and the fact that they have FREE WATER!!! Cake was also quite good, but my fave part is the pricing which is super affordable!

Pros: reasonable prices, big portions , amazing interior

Cons: not that amazing of a food

Tan-thai-lising

A Thai food place run by locals in a beautiful old brick tower right next to Hala Targowa. Not pretentious in any way, just great value top class food in an astonishingly unexpected setting. We had a red and green curry with rice and a carafe of wine which came to 72PLN. Both curries were rich in sauce made with completely different vegetables and ingredients. In the the green curry, sugar snap peas and silken tofu were the stand out items and in the red curry it was the aubergine and a more marinated firmer tofu. Condiments are available on the middle floor where you place your order should you wish to soak your rice in soya sauce, which rather ashamedly I am always guilty of.

Pros: Excellent food, Relaxed atmosphere , Great value

Delicious, innovative menu

Amazing food. One of the best vegan restaurants in Poland. We went back twice. Cute, relaxed interior and great selection of craft beer. Let me re-iterate.. INCREDIBLE food.

Najlepsze vege jedzenie we Wroclawiu

Wilk Syty ma lepsze i gorsze tygodnie a w baszcie zawsze jest smacznie, menu jest zroznicowane i dopracowane. Do tego mają piwko i można sobie posiedzieć i porozmawiać.

Polecam szczerze wizytę, szczególnie na kimchi, zupki no i pad thai mango.

Pros: Smaczne, Fajna wieza :)

Cons: Drogo

Średnie jedzenie

Poszliśmy tam ze względu na dobre oceny i opinie, lecz zawiedliśmy się. Zamawialiśmy curry, pad thai i ryż z warzywami. Ogólnie potrawy słabo przyprawione. Pad thai zostało podane z innym makaranonem niż w menu.
Ryż rozgotowany - jedna wielka papka. Co do curry dało się zjeść. Drogo jak za takie smaki.

The best in Wrocław

The best vegan food I ever had. Just be warned that the servings are massive - better come in hungry. It's fairly small so it can be difficult to get a table. Try the dan dan noodles and mango lassi!

My favourite place in Wroclaw

This is definitely my favourite place in Wroclaw, I love the food (kimchi spring rolls and kimchi nori wrap is to die for), I love the place - located in the medieval tower, the service is always nice and they have the biggest selection of crafted, local beers, ciders and non-alcoholic drinks.

Best vegan Asian cuisine in town

It took me a long while to finally leave a review for Baszta. And it’s five stars. At times I loved it more, at times less, when the food felt too spicy or too flat. The actual spot, the atmosphere, the beer, guests’ dogs and the staff have always been amazing though. I figured to only go there when I wanted Thai food (duh) and it solved it all! This place is great after all.

Very good food, though could have been spicier

The food is really good, though the kimchi could have been more spicy, like it is in Korea. I like the second floor and the rocking chair, the atmosphere is also nice there.

Pros: Excellent food, Atmosphere, Rocking chair

Cons: Kimchi could have been spicier

Great thai kitchen

We have been there twice on our holiday. First time we just had coffee and cake/dessert. The coffee get's fresh brewed and is pretty good. The cheesecake with kind of peanut glaze was tasty!
Second time we came to have some thai dishes for lunch. They look as great as they taste. The kimchi was pretty good.
The staff is very friendly. Jaroslawa, the owner, is an artist. She brings the color of her paintings into the food. She also presents her paintings in the restaurant. You can buy them. Just ask!

Pros: atmosphere / staff, coffee, kitchen

Cons: atm no outdoor seating

delicious pad thai, not so delicious ramen

baszta is a chill restaurant in an old tower. their pad thai is to die for and it comes in 5 versions, including mango and orange. i would also recommend their curry and fried rice. do not order ramen, spring rolls or gado gado.

also: don't expect the food to match the name. their kimchi ramen tastes more like polish cabbage soup, the pad thai doesn't really taste much like pad thai. but it doesn't mean it's not good!

Pros: good: pad thai, curry, fried rice, very interesting building, cool atmosphere

Cons: not good: ramen, spring rolls, gado gado

do not order ramen

A popular vegan place in central part of Wrocław. The restaurant is located in the old tower next to Hala Targowa. It used to be a cool place with good quality Asian cuisine. But after menu card changed the taste of many items got worse. Especially in the case of classic ramen. They also have a good selection of vegan deserts and ice cream though.
