Lovely coffee and vegan cookies

I had an oat cappuccino and my husband had an oat latte. We shared a vegan peanut cookie and a vegan chocolate cookie - very tasty!

Popular spot

Staff are happy to check what is vegan and there were several options on the day we visited. I had a tasty soup with sourdough and butter. When I asked if there was a vegan alternative to butter it was replaced with hummus which was perfect. I enjoyed a chia chocolate ball which was delicious especially as I dislike dedicated coconut in desserts and it’s nearly always in protein balls. My husband enjoyed a Dahl with rice which was the hot dish of the day and a very impressive chocolate cheesecake. The coffee was great too it was very busy. Wednesday lunchtime. Lots of regulars getting food and coffee to take out.

Pros: Several choices, Healthy slant, Nothing was greasy

Delicious!

The best avocado toast I’ve ever had! Lots of yummy, nutritious vegan options. Really good coffee. Friendly, warm and helpful staff. They also stock a great range of vegan and eco items, including the delicious Cookie Dough from Naked Bakes! Excellent location too, central and near the river but in the artsy part of town.

Friendly, Welcoming Healthy Spot

Found this spot through the app and decided to give it a go while charging the car (Located less than a minutes walk) The food and coffee was perfect and the menu stated that other Vegans options could be prepared on request. Ended up going back for seconds a few days later😄

Pros: Friendly Athmosphere, Close proximity to ecar charger, Delicious Coffee

Cons: A few more vegan options on the menu would be good

We didn’t know the place had vegan options and I was so glad to have so many options (and delicious desert). The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable.

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious deserts , Reasonable price

Cons: Very small (you may have to wait for seating)

Delicious vegan options

Serves meat but some delicious vegan options available such as a falafel pitta. The staff are knowledgable of veganism and will point you to the vegan items.

The vegan pitta comes with falafels, homemade cheese free basil pesto, hummus, beetroot, greens and then either grated carrot or vegan coleslaw. The regular falafel comes with dairy coleslaw. When veganised it is sometimes replaced with grated carrot but occasionally with vegan mayo coleslaw (I think it depends on whether they have it in stock as they also have a small grocery section with lots of vegan items).

The soup has also been vegan every time I have visited. I'm not the biggest fan of soups but theirs is doing a great job converting me.

They also offer a gf pitta and gf options if you require.

There is sometimes a vegan hot dish on the menu but I have never been able to not order the vegan falafel, it's that good.

4 stars is the most we can award non vegan restaurants but their vegan food definitely deserves 5.

If you are a vegan in Athlone during the day, this is your lunch sorted.

Pros: Delicious vegan options, Knowledgable staff, Excellent value

Cons: Serves meat, Vegan items could be marked more clearly, Small so busy at lunch time
