Serves meat, vegan options available. Food is halal. Ovo-lacto vegetarians can choose from pizza, salad, calzones, wraps, pasta, and falafel. No smoking. Open from 11am. Reported closed January 2023.
Sometimes grab dinner when I don't have much time to make food. Most don't sit to eat as it is dimly lit but I like that aesthetic so I don't mind much. There's a whole vegan menu so very convenient to find everything in 1 spot. Highly reccommend the lentil soup (very creamy) and foul madammas. My friend got the koshari, with added feta cheese and more salt, and they said it was great too.
Very clean, posted menu, and little 'v's around the other vegan items in the menu. I had the falafel plate which was very filling, rice, falafel, bread and a salad. Everything was delicious! I especially like the rice and the salad, which I would totally get again.
The falafel was a little greasy however. I'm writing this post falafel and feeling kind of ew and pretty dern full.

Returned today as an emergency meal because it's so close to my work but once again have a upset stomach afterwards, I got the grilled veg and salad with rice.
The inside has a posted menu that is slightly different from their printed menu and what appears online.
They have a special Vegan section listing the following items that are/can be made vegan: falafel ($4.49), koshary -- a mix of rice pilaf, chickpeas, onions, and elbow noodles ($6.49), moussaka without cheese ($6.49), moussaka combo with rice ($7.99), and the option to add hummus or baba ghanouj. They offer regular or whole wheat pitas.
They also offer a variety of fun drinks: vitality juices, mango juice, and various sodas from the soda pop shoppe (grape, root beer, orange).
The falafel was slightly heavy on the onion, and they were out of whole wheat pitas, but otherwise it was great.
Basilique is a great restuarant centrally located in Westdale. Free delivery to some parts of Westdale. Will make pizzas with any toppings and sauces, and my custom "no cheese" was SO GOOD. Everything is made fresh, so it is sometimes a little slow, but it's worth it.
