Delicious!

I think they go by a different name now. The large size is big enough for 2 people. Our favorite is the option with strawberries & cacao nibs. Yum! They also have great cold brew coffee and several options for plant milk to add on the counter (no extra charge). Great view from the counter too! We go there multiple times each time we visit the big island.

Nice views good bowls

Ordered the banyan without bee pollen or honey. It was really good. There are not a lot of options as they weren’t offering the smoothie menu when I went in August 2021.

Basic but good

Honey is on everything, and I'm not sure about the granola (it might have honey in it), but a lovely refreshing food on a hot Kona day

It was okay

The bowls aren’t very flavorful without the addition of honey, we omitted the honey of course. I can imagine the added sweetness would make the bowls a lot more tasty. I’d rather go down to Journey Cafe and have one of their bowls which are much more flavorful.

Pros: Different options to choose from

Cons: Not much flavor without the honey , Long wait/busy

Cute spot

Small but popular place in central Kailua Kona. You can easily make vegan by taking out bee pollen/honey. Went there twice during our stay and enjoyed the acai both times. Downside is they wouldn't accept my takeaway container because they would need to sterilize it for 20 mins. Completely understandable but also didn't want to use so much plastic. Staff are really friendly!

Dare I say...meh?

Longest wait in line on a Sunday morning at 9am. 45 mins or longer. Order the chocolate Acai bowl with peanut butter and no honey. The Açaí was watery:/ and lacking in flavor. Very large bowls for a relatively decent price. Not worth the wait and I’ve had better.... shoot I’ve made better myself. Anyways the rating on happy cow made me think this was gunna be worth it. Wasn’t for me tho.

Love!

Such a cute little hidden gem of a restaurant! The açaí was super refreshing and flavorful and the toppings were great as well - just remember to omit the honey if you’re vegan! :)

Yum!

This place is great to pick up an açaí bowl. I loved the Banyan which has PB added. Would have loved a green juice to go with it - the only drink options seem to be smoothies with açaí and banana which if having a bowl is a bit too much of the same ingredients!

Pros: Delicious

Cons: Not enough seating , Need more drink options!

Delicious!

I highly recommend these açaí bowls (especially the banyan!) They have many different topping/mix in options and the bowls are very satiating. It’s a cute little spot as you walk up stairs and can sit at a small bar setting overlooking the ocean. They use honey on their bowls but it can be easily replaced with agave.

Delicious, perfect for a hot day!

Acai bowls or smoothies, with acai, muesli, fruit, hemp seed or a number of different combinations. Leave out the honey or pollen and it is all vegan. And the little green geckoes that hangout on the bench eating your tiny contributions are lovely to watch - a bonus!

Pros: Cold on a hot day, delicious with fruits, grains and acai, geckoes

Cons: Not enough seating for the popularity of the place

Acai is Awesome

Didn't know what an acai was until I went here, but we went back twice. Only thing in the place not vegan is honey. So good with fresh fruits and granola. Good for dessert or a snack.

Pros: convenient location, helpful staff

Cons: pricey

really innovative and healthy breakfast option

I was skeptical that a bowl full of fruit, granola and acai would be filling enough breakfast for me because I'm not crazy about sweet breakfasts, but this place BLEW me away. The acai bowls are like a smoothie you eat with a spoon, with big chunks of fruit and other mix-ins to make it very hearty. And, surprisingly, it's just the right blend of savory and sweet, even with honey drizzled over it. These bowls were so good that my husband and I have in fact re-created them at home.

The restaurant is just upstairs from Snorkel Bob's, across the street from the Royal Kona Resort. We were on the Big Island during Labor Day weekend and it seemed like the place kept strange hours, but eventually we caught it when it was open. The teen-agers running the place were pretty on the ball and very friendly. Seating is mostly outdoor, either on the ground floor or upstairs at the bar. Drink options are limited but they freely offer cups of cold water to customers.

Pros: healthy and delicious, good value, friendly staff

Cons: summer hours are limited

Best smoothies on the Island

I love this place, I am so glad we found it. It is totally vegan, their ingredients are mostly local and all fresh, the service is fantastic and the guys that own the place are very nice. Both the smoothies and the bowls are delicious.
