some hits some misses - Edit
Tried this co op since it's closer to home than the one we loved in Madison. Their packaged vegan items from the in-house cafe were amazing- fresh, delicious, well labeled. The store itself-good labeling of organic and gluten free items- not so much if on the hunt for vegan. Has a lot of organic dairy and meats, so if that bothers you, steer clear. Nice bulk section. Some things were a better deal than our local grocery, but a lot was higher priced. Store is clean, employees were friendly. Wouldn't make a special trip to come here again, but would stop for a quick meal if in the area.

Selection is basic - Edit
Basics is a clean and friendly store, but it's more about organic and natural foods than vegetarian or vegan. I was looking for vegan nutritional supplements there and their selection wasn't great--no vegan DHA. They also didn't have any vegan marshmallow products and had never heard of Chicago Soy Dairy. To see if they could order them, the clerk pulled a paper catalog out of a file cabinet, which in this day and age was very surprising to me.
Pros: nice store, friendly staff, some vegan products
Cons: small selection, expensive, behind the times
