Probably the best pizza I have had. - Edit
There weren't many attractive vegan options for eating in the area, and after reading some of the reviews, my son and I decided to try Base. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and even though there was only one designated vegan pizza on the menu, they were happy to substitute the ingredients to make the other pizzas vegan. We both had "Row Row Row Your GoatTomato, fior di latte (mozzarella), goats cheese, baby spinach, onion marmalade, finished with balsamic reduction" using vegan cheese instead of the Mozzarello and goats cheese, along with cheesy garlic bread.

Pros: Amazing quality, Friendly and helpful staff, reasonably priced
Cons: hard to park as it's a very popular area.

Best pizza in Bowness on Windermere - Edit
The pizza bases were absolutely delicious. The very simple vegan pizza- basically base sauce basil was so good you wouldn’t miss substitute cheese. Also had a vegan garlic mayo dip.

Walked past here a few times and decided to visit for dinner....They have vegan cheese and vegan garlic mayo and one pizza labelled on the menu but you can create your own too.
Read moreThe sourdough pizza base is top notch and the pizzas we ordered were scrumptious...We had a Gimme The V's and A Good Life without the cheese with some garlic mayo. Great to see vegan wines labelled on the menu but a shame there are no vegan desserts.
Definitely a place we will revisit for pizza when next in the Lakes.
