Although the food was very good the restaurant emptied as a large number of diners left from an earlier sitting. Whilst we were still having our main course the staff proceeded to physically roll numerous table tops around our table and even left a stack of chairs in front of our table. Our bill was for £77 and we therefore expected to receive a credit for the remaining £23 which we would have used for our next visit.
Despite speaking to the manager Ian he maintained no credit was due although the original letter stated the £100 was valid for one year and did not state it was valid for one visit only. My partner telephoned the following day and Ian said thankyou for the feedback and he will pass this onto the staff. NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL WITH THE MANAGERS ATTITUDE.

The hot bread mini rolls were delicious.
I had a vegan nut roast followed by chocolate truffle dessert with raspberry sorbet. Loved every minute and the staff honestly made it a really special family evening and we’re second to none!

1st time : Loved my first experience at Bartellas and will be back...often! Beautiful place, great friendly service. Also my little dog was made very welcome and was able to sit in the restaurant with me, they brought her a bowl of water immediately! :)
I went for Sunday lunch with my Dad (meat eater) and Mum (lacto intolerant) and my partner and I who are both vegan. I loved there was a separate vegan menu with lots of options, there is also a separate menu for no lacto, gluten free as well.
Food was really tasty and both my partner and I were so surprised to find this place in a tiny Kent village! Will be back and had a beautiful drive through apple orchards to get there too! 100% recommend going!

It's a very beautiful restaurant, lots of friendly staff. I was offered a separate vegan menu with several options for each course. All the dishes were beautifully plated. My husband chose the chilli which he said was tasty but it was too spicy for me. I had the sweet potato korma which was very creamy and luxurious. Would be a good choice for a special dinner, anniversary or valentine's day I think.
