Good build your own tacos - Edit
The build your own tacos have multiple options for vegan and vegetarian in terms of protein, and were delicious. Service was quick and reasonably priced too, which was certainly a bonus!

Great Taco Franchise in Kalamazoo - Edit
Barrio has recently expanded into downtown Kalamazoo, and it is a welcome addition to a kooky downtown. Barrio is typically a franchise, but it still is a smaller midwest franchise that does not suffer in quality.

The vegan options are inclusive. There is a prebuilt vegan taco (El Vegano) but the build your own taco selection scantron offers a never ending selection of mix and match to suit your desires. - with staples like mushrooms, tofu, sweet potatoes, and black beans to select as a base.
The El Vegano is a solid choice with double shelled and guacamoled in between. The caramelized onions were a highlight. I recommend.
Barrio in Kalamazoo is a great spot to stop for lunch, or come as a group knowing that everyone will be able to build the meal they want.
Pros: Vegan options, Cool wall murals, Outdoor seating
