Overpriced and not a good option for vegans - Edit

I've been to Barlavento twice, first in 2012 and last Sunday, February 7, 2016. The place is nice and has a very nice atmosphere (good for meeting friends, for example), but is not accessible, due to its location, by any kind of public transport.

Barlavento is not vegetarian/vegan at all, but is considerably veg-friendly. I'd say around 30%-40% of its menu is vegetarian, but they're flexible enough to replace milk, eggs or meat in some dishes by vegan ingredients. The sweets, though, aren't suitable for vegans, since almost all of them have dairy (they basically offer icecreams and yogurts). On the other hand, what is pretty nice about the place is its production of organic, hydroponic strawberries and cherry tomatoes, which are the basis for most of its dishes and some products they sell, such as jams and sauces. These items I do recommend.

Considering what it offers and the whole context, Barlavento is expensive. Most of the prices in the menu are over R$ 20, when it could easily be less than this, especially if one takes into account that all the payments must be in cash (I mean, they don't pay any fees to credit card companies).

Pros: Nice place, Friendly staff, Nice organic, hydroponic production

Cons: Expensive, Not good for vegans
