Good vegan Shakshuka - 3.5 stars.

There seems to be one vegan option on the menu - a vegan shakshuka. It was really filling, very flavourful.
There are non dairy milks available.
The waitresses were friendly but not 100% knowledgable on veganism. Would go back though as they helped guide me though what I could and couldn’t eat.
I’d give it a four if it had more vegan options

An extraordinarily wide choice of all-vegetarian food in Nairobi

I don't think there's another place like it in Kenya - except maybe for their other branch! Such option paralysis - the four menu pages I scanned represent less than half the menu. It's kinda like a fully vegetarian version of Artcaffe, but with the presentation turned up a notch, and pricing to match.

I had a vegan mango turmeric and ginger almond milk smoothie which was just outstanding. The avocado on toast came with poached eggs, it was beautifully presented but the zaatar sauce or whatever was overpowering and I wouldn't order that again. But there's so much on the menu, you could come every day for a month and not get bored. And I think I just might!

To find it, the easiest way to find it in the vast Sarit Centre mall is to enter Sarit by the pedestrian entrance on the north side (closer to Westgate Mall / Oval rather than Sankara / Waiyaki Way - you'll know it's the right entrance if it has a water feature as you climb the steps), and then just go up the escalator directly in front of you two floors to the first floor, and it's the stylised S right in front of you. This is the same company that operates the also fully vegetarian Shokupan, about 50 metres away on the same floor opposite Woolworths. I highly recommend you try this too.

Pros: Extraordinarily wide menu, Exquisite presentation, Amazing smoothies

Cons: Bloody expensive, As per Shokupan sometimes presentation beats taste
