I went for lunch time and took 2 starters, a minestrone soup which was simple but well done, and a roested beetroot on "labneh" dill oil, and it was really tasty and delicious, I really loved this dish !

We came to Barbarella for dinner and breakfast. They offer a varied menu with a large dessert selection. The lion mane's steak was delicious although the mashed potatoes were a little dry. The gnocchi was on point. The desserts are very good, especially the cream-filled breakfast croissants and traditional veganized Slovenian cakes. I do think overall it is a little pricey though, especially some of the breakfast items (eg. the cinnamon bun), but the food is good and the service excellent 👌

We had the roasted cabbage, homemade tortellini with hazelnut and the twix for dessert. We really loved that the veggies were the center of the dish, and both really good, the cabbage was our favourite though 😋. The dessert was really nice too but didn't really taste like twix.

Read moreAfter some thought I went with the cheese and spreads platter, but I think other choices are even better. The two cheeses you get are very interesting, and I applaud it, but they don't taste too much unfortunately. Some of the spreads are very dominating, so you can't taste some of the cheesy flavors when you eat them together.
Still, nice place, but maybe it's better for lunch or dinner?

So we ended up in Ljubljana for a afternoon of exploring the city. Not much prepared when it comes to vegan lunch or diner. But we were surprised by the amount of vegan offers.

wow! I loved this place so much. The drinks were amazing, so were the dishes and the cakes 😍 omg!! Also the waitress was so nice. I loved the evening there. I tried the steak which was marvellous and then a cherry chocolate cheesecake, everything vegan, everything great. Highly recommend!

Located on one of the main shopping streets of Ljubljana, Barbarella was a nice surprise. Trendy and vibrant, this bistro has an all vegan menu that’s not particularly original (burgers, pasta’s), but it was exactly what we wanted after a day of discovering this pretty city. The food was great, the service very nice. Don’t forget to check out the hearty but yummy deserts, if you still can.

The Plant Bistro is definitely worth a visit. We had the pumpkin risotto, which was very good and the hazelnut ravioli, which were not exactly our taste but still okay. For dessert we had the Cream cake - really really yummy!! The staff is friendly and fast and the location of the Bistro is also good.

Find dining quality, in a relaxed atmosphere. Food options were amazing. We had the lions made steak and potatoes and the pumpkin risotto followed by the traditional Slovenian vanilla cream cake. We also enjoyed a turmeric latte. We came back for breakfast the next morning and had croissants. One with coffee cream on top. And we also shared the cheese plate, which was delicious. There are many options in this city, and this is certainly one of the best.

All vegan restaurant with creative dishes. The food was super tasty and well presented. We enjoyed our lunch in the center of Ljubljana, sitting outside in the sun. The price was quite good considering the restaurant was right in the city center. Would definitely recommend trying one of their special drinks as we really enjoyed them.

We came to Barbarella on a friday evening, so the city was buzzing. The outside seating is nice, a bit loud though. The staff was super friendly. I liked the gnocchi best, they were very special. The ravioli were a bit bland. Different selection of cakes for dessert.

They serve original dishes we've rarely seen in vegan bistros in addition to more common veg burgers. I really recommend their vegan cheese and their version of traditional slovenian cakes!
