Amazing vegan Mexican food that pleases both plant based and omnivores alike! generous portions and flavor bombs are the best description I can give. Every food item we got (Maitake Enmolada, Tlayuda Mixta, California Burrito, Enchiladas) was a hit. Don't skip the churros!

Beautiful and delicious vegan tacos. There is often loud music playing, almost like a club. So if you prefer a quiter place, this may not be the place for you.

Went for Valentine’s Day and it was packed and really loud. The nachos were great, my spicy enchiladas weren’t too spicy, the mushroom tacos were a bit bland. The cheese was excellent though. Great staff, fun place.

Bar Verde offered an exciting variety of Latin foods, and really nothing we ordered was a miss. If you are interested, the huitlacoche croquets were fantastic, and probably our favorite thing that we ordered. service and atmosphere were fantastic too. Bar Verde definitely lives up to the standard set by double zero and was worth our time. Would 100% go back.

Incredible Latin Food - Edit
Being Latina, I grew up with a lot of Latin cuisine... and this place truly brought me back to my childhood. The enchiladas, enmoladas, empanadas, churros... there is so much here that is amazingly delicious. Also, the fact that all the cooks and servers are Latin is kind of the best thing ever. They really know what they're doing 😁

If you like Jajaja or V-Spot, you'll love Bar Verde. Nachos, empanadas, esquites (grilled corn...yum!), and many kinds of tacos, featuring things like quinoa, cauliflower and jackfruit. Everything is delicious! It's amazing to have gluten-free dairy-free versions of desserts like flan, cheesecake, and churros. Beautiful decor. There are several vegan Matthew Kenney restaurants on this block, including a pizza place and a pasta place. Given that it's an elegant, sit down place, the prices are justified.

This is a taco &c. place, located right next to two other fine vegan restaurants (Double Zero and Sestina). The restaurant is laid back, great to hang out for a meal and drinks.

The food is excellent; very tasty and well prepared--far superior to taco places in NYC that offer only a couple of vegan options.

Good pandemic eating out experience - Edit
Food was excellent. We booked an outdoor table but since there weren’t any available we sat inside by open patio doors. Tables definitely were not 6 feet apart and it felt more full than 35%. Service was extremely slow, but maybe because it was an exceptionally warm night and more peoplw out than normally and they were not prepared or maybe because it’s a small place and cannot fit enough personnel during this excwptional time. I don’t know. What we ate was good and beautifully presented.

Fabulous and reliable vegan spot by Matthew Kenney. Great margarita pitchers, nachos, burritos! Love to take my non vegan friends as they love it as well! Service is great. During Covid they have a Good amount of outdoor seating available! Highly recommend!!!
