Beware of the ‘vegan’ labels on their menu…. - Edit
I hardly ever order takeaways, but my husband fancied trying Cam Spice, having seen their clearly labelled vegan options.
Read moreFirstly, navigating their online menu is an awful experience, as the ‘vegan’ menu options show only a couple of items and you have to search every section to see what is suitable.
We placed our order (eventually) and my husband went to collect. Thankfully he had put that the order was vegan in the notes. He got a phone call to say the onion bhaji’s weren’t vegan that day as they had made them up already and they were cooked in with meat and dairy products! The aloo Gobi (also labelled vegan) had been made with butter! So annoying that they go against their own menu and it’s only due to the note on our order that we knew.
After choosing something else to replace those items we got the food.
It was ok, but have had better. Quite salty and oily and not much depth to the spice and flavours.
Really put me off trying them again, but at least they did let us know.

Amazing vegan food - Edit
Bar hill spice is our favourite curry house. The vegan menu has a good range and is absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about vegan food/cooking and it shows in the flavours! Perfect Indian takeaway option
