The vegan menu is so varied and flavoursome. We have visited Ambleside a few times and have travelled just to return to this restaurant. It’s so so beautiful, definitely a must if you’re in the area.

We loved the food, and the service was friendly. Based on the casual atmosphere and tapas menu, we didn't worry about prices, but when we paid, we were shocked at the total. We would return, but we would definitely watch what we ordered more closely.

Lovely Tapas Bar with a good Vegan menu - Edit
Decided to visit Bar eS as they have a vegan menu and so glad we did. Lovely chilled vibes very relaxing, great food and an excellent craft beer selection which a quick Google showed most were vegan friendly too. Vegan nachos, patatas bravas, refried beans, salad, olives, padron peppers and guacamole were all delicious and clean plates were testament to how good it all was. They had vegan churros too but we were too full. Will definitely return when next in Ambleside. Loved the whole experience.

Tucked away tapas restaurant offering delicious drinks (craft beers and cocktails) with a separate vegan menu with a really good range of options. I was pleasantly surprised as over the years Ambleside hasn't been very vegan friendly!

Slightly tucked away but we'll worth searching out. Visited without booking and although busy found us a table. Nice staff, very laid back and place has a younger vibe than most local eateries. We chose six tapas dishes to share between two of us and found that to be enough. Also had churros in chocolate sauce for pud! All very nice!

there was a separate vegan menu with so much choice i didn’t know what to have! i ordered chips and dips- the salsa and guacamole was delicious- garlic bread which was lovely and soft, mushroom soft tacos which were incredible - the coriander crema was delicious- and patatas bravas which was my favourite!! i was just blown away by the choice and variety of the vegan menu! AND the churros were also delicious. my family shared some of my vegan food and they loved it as well. it is a hidden gem! would defo come here again!!

The food was incredible! Definitely some of the best vegan mexican dishes i’ve had. We enjoyed a number of plates, including the vegan tacos, enchiladas, wedges, and garlic bread (plain) all of which were absolutely fantastic and delicious. The cocktails are also fantastic and great alongside meals. The restaurant itself has a really great cosy atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and attentive.

Lots of options on the vegan menu. We ordered nachos, paella, patatas bravas, paella, quesadilla and tacos and they were all really good. It's down a little back street and has is very atmospheric with the decor and the music. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Really excellent tapas - delicious food, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere and decent prices for the area. So good we came back twice during our stay. Just ask for the separate vegan menu when you go in. We had the garlic bread ciabatta, patatas bravas, paella, quesedilla and onion rings.

This hidden gem in beautiful ambleside has a separate vegan menu with a wide variety of choices. We had high hopes after ordering and were not disappointed. The patatas bravado were fantastic, the quesadillas even better and the loaded garlic bread was heavenly. The nachos were deliciously cheesy as well, and drink choices were excellent. Bonus points for the Nintendo 64 that we played a couple of sounds of Mario kart on. In summary, cannot recommend this place enough!
