Amazing experience! The food is all handmade in house and tastes incredible, massive portions and really friendly and helpful servers. Cannot recommend enough to any vegans in the area!

We had a delicious meal at Baomarang. The waitresses were super sweet and spoke very enthusiastically about the food. We had the cauliflower wings, tofu sticks, and corndog as starters. Delicious! The bao buns are also of excellent quality and tasty. We had the ones with tofu and red cabbage and the ones with soy fillets and teriyaki. The desserts were also delectable. We had the Snickers and the mango coconut cake. Would highly recommend!

It’s a bit of a walk to get there - check the train, there is a station close by - and it’s kind of a weird location - in the middle of a small shopping center, everything else around was closed - but it’s definitely worth it. As everybody else already said, the food and service was excellent, they explained everything and even proposed to get the sauces on the side, sauce my wife doesn’t like the hotter sauces. I had the gyros with the rice and the salad instead of the bun, but that was also great.

Der Laden ist etwas versteckt in einer kleinen unbelebten Einkaufspassage. Aber der Weg dorthin lohnt sich. Die Bedienung (vielleicht Besitzerin? Sie wirkte zu engagiert um angestellt zu sein) war extrem freundlich, hat die Karte bis ins letzte Detail erklären können und sprach außerdem sehr gutes Englisch. Das Essen war hervorragend. Wir hatten die Coliflower-Crisps und Portobello Skewers als Starter und Crispy Tofu sowie Gyros als Hauptgericht. Alles war sehr gut, die Pilze fand ich extrem lecker!

It is tucked away in a very small shoping center, but a must go if you are in Porto. When we arriver it was empty, but we were welcomed with open arms. The owner was very nice and explained everything carefully. Everything that we ordered was delicious; crispy cauliflower, 2 boa buns and a vegan snickers for dessert. All home made and very fresh. Go here if you are on this side of Porto!

É sempre bom ser cada vez mais comum poder encontrar espaços que nos “trazem” a oportunidade de experimentar a comida de outros países/estilos pelo (grande) Porto. Nesse sentido há mais espaços que nos trazem muito daquilo que é a comida do Vietnam.

Por isso, ainda que com relativamente pouco tempo de vida, pelo menos no formato de restaurante por assim dizer, é já uma referência da Alimentação Vegetariana e Vegana na região.
Quando lá fui escolhi o Bao de Tofu cracante e posso dizer que estava simplesmente delicioso.
Fiquei perfeitamente saciado e com vontade de regressar.
O ambiente também é super acolhedor, fazendo-nos lembrar os antigos “cafés de bairro”. Fica localizado no interior de um pequeno Centro Comercial na Avenida da República em V.N. de Gaia.
Em suma: definitivamente recomendo!

Such a kind gesture, and both desserts were fantastic. We added their desserts to our bill as a thank you.

We had been recommended the restaurant by a local and we're glad we went! The owner herself served us and we had such a nice chat about her and her husband's (the chef) business, where we're from, Portuguese eating habits, all kind of things. As starters, we had Korean fried cauliflower and tofu nuggets with garlic mayo, both of which were nicely crunchy and both sauces had great flavour! Then we had the Samurai and the Teryaki XL Baos. The Samurai was not really spicy, but still tasty. The crunch inside the soft steamed bun was a really nice combination. The Teryaki was also nice. Altough of course it's altogether not the healthiest choice, the deep-fried things were not greasy and also fine on my stomach, we were glad that there were so many options with proteins, and also some vegetables were included in the baos. A really nice experience!

We’ve ordered Baomerang multiple times through uber eats and recently had the pleasure of dining in at their new location in Gaia just on the other side of the river from Porto. Can’t say enough good about the food and the owners. Talita is so kind and welcoming, and the food is undeniably delicious. A favorite for vegans and non vegans alike! Certainly NOT to be missed!
