We came across Bao to the broth at a small festival in Ross-on-Wye just down the road from their restaurant in Hereford. They had a trailer which they were serving great food from. Only a couple of the items on the menu were vegan. We tried both the yakisoba Japanese stir-fry and the Donburi Katsu curry both of which came with tofu & sweet potato. We enjoy both but my personal favourite was the yakisoba which was delicious.

Soo good! Will definitely return for more. It's just a shame there isn't better labelling of vegan-friendly options. The knowledge of servers didn't fill me with confidence and it's confusing that chicken is called 'soy chicken' on the menu. It is animal chicken, not a soy alternative. However, we enjoyed the Yakisoba with tofu and sweet potato. Good portions, delicious and plenty of choice.

Delicious vegan options - Edit
Substantial portions so you may not need the delicious side dishes. Very tasty and interesting options with most available vegan. The only downside is the absence of vegan options being specified on the menu. Welcoming service, open comfortable layout. We went at lunchtime so I’d guess it is busier and noisier in the evenings.
