Great food. We had the tofu bao and tofu sushi bowl. I think the bowl was vegan but didn't ask about the bao, i don't think the bun is vegan.

Awesome friendly staff, easily made vegan. As others mentioned, the bao bun is not vegan. But the lettuce wrap was SO GOOD. It was crunchy, fresh & delish & I think I would have preferred it if I had a side by side with a bao bun. The tofu was crispy to perfection, everything was so fresh and so good. We got the Vietnamese loaded fries, just veganized. Very yummy, doooo it! I’d be a regular if I lived here.

I went there, talked to the staff and they say the bao bun is not vegan. So something is wrong here. Either the staff or the entry. Their chips were good.

Beware, Vega bao is not vegan! - Edit
As mentioned in other reviews, the bao bread is not vegan, and they have few vegan sauces. The Vega bao in a lettuce wrap had excellent fried tofu, but we found the name misleading. Plain fries were begging for ketchup or sauce.

Firstly - the team there were super friendly. They explained that a previous review on happycow indicated that their baos were vegan - sadly the bread used is not. They offered the vegan alternative which swaps bread for lettuce cups. We thought the flavours were gorgeous - I've genuinely never experienced tofu cooked better. Recommended.

Quite disappointing - Edit
Friendly staff who know what vegan is but unfortunately there is very little there that is truly vegan. The Vegan bao can be made vegan but that means no bread roll (all their bread is non vegan) and having it in a lettuce cup with no sauces. All the sauces are non vegan due to the honey though the guy told us that 90% of vegans who go there eat honey and have their bao with sauce. We ended up only having the chilli sauce as it had no honey. The tofu in the bao had great flavour but really, you're paying a lot ($14 with chips) for some pieces of tofu and some chips once everything non vegan is stripped from it. And it really is not at all filling. Sigh.
