Happy lovely vegan family serving tasty vegan Vietnamese street food - Edit
The mixed banh mi was amazing, I took 2. Also the noodle soup. The girls of the family are the waiters, as they speak English. And they are adorable, as all the family. They even re-opened after closing time and cooked for us. The prices are super-low, at 40-45k for 1 banh mi, for example.

Lovely food, lovely family - Edit
Tasty food, affordable (especially for hanoi). Had a very enjoyable chat with the two daughters of the owner who are just a delight to chat with in their excellent english. Just a authentic and lovely experience (go in the morning for a wider choice of menu items as they sell out of some things as the day progresses)

Sadly disappointing bahn mi’s - Edit
We stopped by here for four bahn mi’s, two to eat and two to take away for later (we had a long sleeper bus) and to be honest they were very disappointing.
Read moreWe’ve had heaps of bahn mi’s across the country and this was probably the worst one😒we got the high protein one on the menu and they felt half empty, they didn’t taste that good at all..
Maybe the rest of the items on the menu are good but I wouldn’t go back😒

Love it here! Everything is delicious, cheap and authentic. - Edit
Everything here is so good, so nice we came back twice. I'm Vietnamese and a former meat eater, finding a vegan alternative to some Vietnamese foods has been hard in Canada. Happy to eat here, the family is really nice. I recommend the bánh mì, fried pillow doughnut and pineapple juice!

Amazing family owned restaurant - Edit
Family run business, which is clearly very eco friendly. Amazing vegan Banh Mi for very cheap prices. And their daughter makes handmade takeaway boxes out of her recycled colouring books!

Fantastic Vegan Vietnamese Street Food - Edit
It's easy to pass by Vegan Banh Mi since it looks like just another street food vendor. But they have some signs with the word "vegan" and a nice staff member found me looking lost and reassured me that I found the right place.
Read moreCame for an early, light lunch and had a Banh Mi and a fried spring roll. Both were delicious and my only regret was not trying more things. It really felt like an authentic experience and food was tasty and presented nicely.

Can I give Vegan Banh Mi more than 5 stars? Coz I'd like to.
Read moreMy boyfriend and I discovered this place about 3 months ago, and have gone every week since. It is my favourite spot in Hanoi, delivering something really special and for such a cheap price. The family who run it are generous and kind, and their little kids are the cutest around. We always get the seitan rolls and a few pillows, the vegan mayo and pate really make the banh mi and we always put a big sploosh of the GARLIC infused vinegar/sauce into everything. They also have begun making different noodle dishes and even pho! They have a little stall outside now which is great. I personally can't fault it, it's original yet authentic. It's comforting and the only one of it's kind in Hanoi!
Pros: The family who run it💗so sweet, TASTE! , Price
Cons: I don't live there?

Loved it - Edit
Lovely people, amazing and cheap food. I’d love to eat here every day. I chose the seitan banh mi, fried spring rolls and pillow doughnut, amazing! I took food to go as well. Best food in Vietnam. The owners children make signs for veganism inside which is beautiful to see. Service is quick. Slightly hidden down an ally, but a woman there seemed to know what I was looking for.

Was very curious to try the food after reading all the reviews— food did not disappoint! I chose the pillow donut & original seitan Banh mi— both very good.

Give this place a try! - Edit
Honestly, when we turned up at this place I was very put off by the outside. It's shabby and down a little alleyway that looks like it's leading to houses... And it is but go down there and try it out. The seating area is cosy and has lots of kiddies 'go vegan' handmade posters on the wall which was very sweet!
Read moreThe food is so good here! We tried both the Banhs and they were INCREDIBLE! so incredible we ordered another to take away with us. We also tried the spring rolls and pillow donut and they were nice too. All the food is so cheap! About 80p for a big baguette sandwich is so good!!
Pros: Delicious and very cheap
Cons: Shabby outside, location not great.

Hidden Gem - Edit
Don't let the outside put you off! We walked down a little shady Alley way and made our way into the little restaurant, which just looked like it was someone's house.
Read moreWith some trepidation we looked through the menu, which is only small but ordered our food I tried a little bit of everything on the menu.
Our Bahns came and we immediately knew we had made the right choice, delicious! We started to look around the room to see all the pictures and drawings made by the children in the house "animals aren't food" signs. Even the sign not asking for a tip, just for some nice words on here and trip advisor and we realised we had stumbled onto a lovely wholesome little hidden gem.
To top it all off it was amazing value for money we spent 80000VND and I had nearly everything on the menu for that!
Pros: Price, Small family run, Authentic
Cons: Not much choice, Not aesthetically pleasing

Delicious veggie banh mi - Edit
Had the first banh mi of the menu and a pillow donut and both were very yummy! 20k VDN for a banh mi and 10k VDN for the pillow donut (samosa like). It’s a super small street food store and you need to go in the small alley to find it. Worth walking 20 min from my hotel to get it. 🙂
