We had the bahn mi which was excellent. The owner then gave us a free pendang tea.
Highly recommend visiting for a quick lunch

A vegan tofu sandwich, delicious. The staff were lovely and the beer was frosty. No complaints!

They have one vegan option, and it is ok. I've not seen or had any other vegan banh mi in Japan, so it's definitely rare, hence 4 stars.

This shop is in the main shopping street that leads to the tourist area so easy to find. The staff were very enthusiastic and produced an English menu for us. The vegan option is clearly marked on the board in the shop too. Very tasty Vietnamese sandwich: fresh bread, deep fried tofu and salad filling flavoured with fresh coriander and a splash of chili sauce ( you can add more to taste) interesting drinks as well. Not pricey. The owner asked us how we found that shop so I introduced him to the Happy Cow app. 😀

The vegan Bánh mì is really tasty and also spicy, which is unusually in Japan. And it's also really cheap. I paid just 900 Yen for the Bánh mì and the drink. That's less then 6 Euro 😁
