Serves meat, vegan options available. Has soy beef and tofu dishes. Pedestrian-only alley seating or dimly lit ambiance inside with Buddha statues and Thai decorations. Reported closed, Aug 2019.
This place changed their name and their menu. So it was a bit difficult to find. Their specialty is Indian food, not Thai. But nonetheless it was good enough. (Pad Thai is more noodles with tomato sauce) Prices are low. And portions good. They dont have soy beef anymore. But if you walk 5 minutes further you will find Pedacos de glamour. And they have seitan beef! And a very nice vegan chocolat cake and avocado mouse.
We went to bangkok Thai moods because we really enjoy soya meats and read on the description they served this.
When we arrived, the majority of the people were British which was funny because it made is feel at home.
The have a vegetarian section of the menu which included several stir fry vegetable dishes as well as what we ordered:
Vegetarian spring rolls - these were average
Tom yum soup - mmm this was fantastic! Coconut spicy soup with tofu and mushrooms
Red Thai curry - this had tofu and bamboo shoots and was good
Soya chicken sweet and sour - this was tasty but not spicy
Coconut rice - fine
Please be warned that the soya beef mentioned in the description is served with cashew nuts but there is oyster sauce!! It is still included in the vegetarian section and we asked the waiter if they could omit the oyster sauce but he informed us it was already in the sauce and could not be taken out.
All in all this was an average thai meal if you want a change when in cascais.
