Authentic Thai flavours

Most dishes are made fresh, making them easily customizable. Staff are accommodating to vegan alterations and substitutions.
Flavours are on point. Our favorites are: Tom Kha soup, Tofu fresh rolls, pad Thai, Pad ped, Larb, Drunken man fried rice, and mango sticky rice for dessert. I wish they would add more vegan appetizers and vegan roasted or fried dishes, and vegan desserts.

Pros: Ambiance is good and relaxing, Staff is friendly and knowledgeable , Lots of parking

Cons: Vegan Pad Thai could use more sauce.

My Favorite Restauarant

The food here is SO, SO good. I'm partial to Thai, but of all the Thai places I've been to, this is my favorite. On top of the quality, there are a ton of vegan dishes to choose from (many are made with "Your choice of 'meat'", which includes tofu). I count 14 vegan main dish options, and several other vegetarian options. I'm not a dessert person, but a couple of the desserts look like they might be vegan too (coconut ice cream with fried banana, and sticky rice with mango).

The atmosphere is very nice and chill. Owners and staff are warm and friendly. Most (veg) entree prices are $13-$14, while appetizers are around $7.

Dishes I've tried, along with my personal feelings on them:

Green Curry: S (Amazing). I've ordered this too many times, which is why I haven't tried the whole vegan side of the menu yet. Be aware the curries are soupy.

Pad Ped: S (Amazing): The peanut sauce is incredible. Very light and delicious.

Fresh GInger Stir Fry: S (Amazing).

Fresh Roll Appetizer: S (Amazing).

Red Curry: A (Very Good).

Yellow Curry: A (Very Good).

Fried Eggplant: A (Very Good). I was apprehensive about this one, because I often don't love eggplant dishes, but I actually liked it a lot.

Larb: B (Pretty Good). One good thing I'll say for this is that it's unique tasting / interesting. But for me it was just good and not great.

Pad Kra Praow: B- (Decent). I love basil, but this didn't wow me for whatever reason.

My wife is vegetarian, and she loves the Green Curry Fried Rice and the Pad Thai (both of which contain egg).

Pros: amazing food, tons of vegan options, nice atmosphere

Cons: moderately high prices, no delivery options that I'm aware of, some dishes aren't as good as others

Drunken Man Fried Rice for the win

My husband and I love their drunken man fried rice! Just ask for no egg, no fish sauce, and no oyster sauce. Staff seems to be able to easily and happily accommodate vegan customizations. Their drunken man fried rice is my #2 vegan meal in Bloomington (Anyetsang's yellow curry is #1 for me)! We were happy to find this restaurant after Esan Thai closed (if you liked their drunken fried rice I think you will like this one too).

Pros: tasty fried rice, knowledgeable staff

Cons: serve flesh, styrofoam takeout containers

Great small business!

The owners, Waew Chantar and her husband Chef Chitakorn Setmark, are immigrants from Thailand and opened this small restaurant in 2013. My fiancé used to work here and they are the nicest, most hard working people - who make amazing food! The restaurant has received actual excellent food critic reviews and the food is really authentically Thai. I recommend the yellow curry with no fish sauce and tofu! It is so good. My fiancé loves the pineapple fried rice (ask for no egg to be sure it's vegan)😄

Pros: Authentic food, Family-owned restaurant, Great price
