Had a burrito, tried a side of the vegan Mac n cheese (both very good) and had their vegan concha brioche pastry, which was excellent and by itself makes me want to go back!

Good chilis - Edit
Casual cafe environment, order at the counter, bus your own table. I got the bang bang burritos, added impossible chorizo. It was delicious. Came smothered in red and green chili, and crema drizzle. My wife got breakfast burrito added brisket, again covered chilis and crema. We will eat here again

Bang Bang, you’re fed. - Edit
Sometimes I sit on a review bc it’s a good excuse to go back + try more things. I’ve been a fan of their vegan mac for over a decade + it’s currently the only mac I’d recommend to nonvegans in Seattle. The “Three Amigos” breakfast tacos w/added tempeh is my new favorite thing. I’ll def add tempeh to the breakfast burrito next time to kick it up a notch. The “Taco Belltown” burrito is delicious but small + overpriced. It’s been a while, but I’ve also enjoyed the torta w/tempeh + the pozole. The side salad is always perfectly fresh + crisp. Yum.

Vegan sweet and savory options! - Edit
We came here for Sunday brunch and were very happy with our meal! The mac and cheese was some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had! All of the baked goods we tried were delicious and we appreciated that there were several options! My husband enjoyed his breakfast burrito as well. There were several vegan options on the menu that were clearly labeled. Our waitress was helpful with any questions we had! We are excited to go back for that mac and cheese again…

Try a kimchi scone! - Edit
We tried a kimchi scone, the New Mexican Breakfast (vegan) and the Cowboy breakfast (vegan). The kimchi scone was excellent! Savory scones are pretty rare around here and this one hit the spot. The green Chile biscuits are also really good. My partner was not very impressed with the tempeh bacon, but I liked it. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

More vegan options than before - Edit
Bang bang cafe reopened after some renovations and they came back with more vegan options than before. They brought vegan queso from bang bang kitchen which I’m stoked about. The biscuit sandwich is awesome and don’t forget the dessert options. The caramels. seriously get a caramel.

No bang for a buck - Edit
Got the vegan blt and the Mac. Both lacked flavor. Worst Mac we've ever tried. It's a quaint little place but seriously not worth the price. $11 for a bowl of bland Mac with a side salad and another $10.50 for the sandwich.

Cute fun space - Edit
Love the funky atmosphere and the nice counter staff. My burrito was only okay. It says New Mexico style burritos, but it wasn’t like any of the food I’ve had in New Mexico- aside from it being Christmas style. Word of caution- I love spicy food but if you do not, then do not get a burrito! I am from South Texas and it made my nose run! I got a lavender soy latte and it was AMAZING- I think it might not be a permanent menu item though. They have a great selection of alternative milks- I think soy, almond, and oat. I will definitely go back because I heard their blt, mac n cheeze, and baked good are the real standouts!

Decent vegan options if you're in Belltown - Edit
I used to eat here when I worked in Belltown but I wouldn't go out of my way otherwise. The mac is decent and the burrito is underwhelming. At various times I've been served cold food or had my order forgotten, so, your mileage may vary.

Sweet and spicy - Edit
Had the vegan burrito, cranberry orange scone (also vegan), and a coffee. Burrito was delicious, full of roasted veggies and coated in red hatch chili sauce . For the less -spicy inclined, you could leave off the hatch chili sauce or also get some of their house-made vegan cream cheese to mellow it out.
Read moreThey have a number of yummy sweet treats made in house , from a dark chocolate cookie to zucchini bread and scones. I Got a scone to temper the spicy burrito😄
Staff were very friendly.
From a zero waste perspective, food comes on compostable or real plates with real silverware, and I got coffee in a house mug.
