one of best meals I have ever eaten! - Edit
We shared vegan spring rolls for starters and both had the tamarind spicy aubergine and rice combo for the main course My wife who has only very recently switched to a plant based diet described it as "one of the best meals she has ever eaten!" and declared that with vegan meals as tasty as this there would be no need to return to meat dishes. There are quite a few vegan options on the menu which helps make the restaurant experience so much easier than the common problem of finding even one suitable meal on the menu. The meal for two, including a £20 bottle of rose, cost £51 which I consider great value. We also opted to add a 10% gratuity to support the company policy of increasing employee wages "well above the minimum wage" (see their website for more details). The restaurant has great decor which support the banana tree theme and add to the relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient despite being surprisingly busy for a Monday night.
Pros: several vegan options, good ambiance
Cons: limited vegan dessert choices

Great vegan selection - Edit
Had a lovely meal at Banana Leaf. They have a vegetarian menu which clearly labels vegan dishes-and nearly all the mains, starters and sides are vegan, so you will be spoilt for choice. Reasonable prices - I had the spicy tamarind aubergine with a 'vegan combo' of rice, sesame cracker, salad (an interesting one) and sweet corn cakes on the side which was about £12 total. The food was really good, nice atmosphere, and the service was very friendly and helpful. I've removed one star as they didn't have any vegan (or dairy free) desserts except sorbet, but on the whole it exceeded my expectations and I would go back.
