I come here only for the Tom Yum soup. Other than that it's not worth it. The cook is a really nice person but the lady at the counter doesn't know what vegan means. Everytime I go in there and ask if particular dishes are vegan she looks at me confused and has to ask the cook. She admitted she 'gets confused between gluten free and vegan'.
The service is slow and frustrating. Other than that it's ok... And the Tom Yum soup really is very nice!
Pros: some of the food is quite nice, inexpensive, good portion sizes

This small but friendly sit and eat is a Vegans oasis in a suburb more suited for its carnivore cousin. The atmosphere at Bamboo Talk is relaxing and leaves you feeling content with its friendly staff away from the hussle and bussle of the day time commute. Be patient as the food sometimes has trouble getting to your table at a convient time even in the quiet times also most of the food at the Bamboo Talk is cooked or reconstituted using the microwave.

Fabulous cosy veggie cafe - Edit
This place is a real find tucked away on Mt Barker High STreet. A little, cozy and really friendly Chinese-themed vegan cafe with a small but delicious menu and some really inventive takes on old favourites. Definately reccommended, and cheap too.
Pros: Food quality, Friendly staff, Cozy atmosphere
Cons: Toilet at the end of an alleyway
