long wait - Edit
We were almost alone in the restaurant, just 2 other people came in right after us. Still, we had to wait more than 40 minutes for a burger, while the others got their food long before us. When I asked about our order, the waiter seemed a bit afraid like they had forgotten about us (again, it was almost empty) but didn't even show a hint of regret or an apology. At the end, the burger was only ok, definitively not worth the wait!

Hello! We are very sorry that you had to wait a long time for food in our restaurant. The table that came after you ordered the dishes of the day. Since they were ready, their order came faster than yours. All other food (except for the dishes of the day) is prepared strictly after the order by guests. I apologize for the incompetence of the employee. That day the tables were serviced by the barman, since the waiter was not on shift. We will take your feedback into account and try to make the service better. Come and see for yourself. Welcome!

beachside vego restaurant - Edit
Bamboo Bar is easy to find as the Happy Cow location is accurate ... located at the end of a small street near the beer bar area of Serendipity Beach ... 1st visit I had the delicious scrambled tofu (US$2.50) and black coffee for lunch ... 2nd visit I had the giant vegan lentil burger (US$3.00) and another black coffee ... 3rd visit I had the very tasty salad with lentil balls (US$4.00) and black coffee ... the quality and quantity of each dish was very good with freshly cooked ingredients with fresh crispy salads ... my last dish was one of the best tasting vegan bruschettas that I have eaten ... so good I returned in the evening for a second helping ... Bamboo Bar is a nice clean restaurant with friendly and helpful English speaking staff ... there are lots of inexpensive vegan options available on the menu

We tried the fried potatoes with mushrooms and sauerkraut and the potato pancakes. It was not as good as for instance in Poland or Germany nevertheless pretty delicious!

Huge portions, yummy food - Edit
We had the papaya salad which came with rice for $2.50, this was really nice and they adapted it to however spicy you want it. We also has the Tom yam soup and teriyaki vegetables both of which came with rice $3.50 each and both big portions and yummy. The staff were very friendly and the music and atmosphere was really vibrant.

We were in this Bamboo Bar twice. Avocado salad with chia seeds was wonderful as the vegan tacos with olives! In the menu a large selection of fresh healthy food. Big fruit shakes without sugar, whats is important for us. We will come to this place again.

Best vegetarian and vegan wood oven pizzas in Sihanoukville - Edit
I was looking for some good pizza in Sihanoukville, made according to Italian standards and finally have been found it at Bamboo Bar on Serendipity Beach. Delicious and real taste, crispy and soft. Vegan pizzas available as well. And what the most important - no meat or eggs were cooked in their wood oven ever, so at the moment this is the only one trully veg pizza.

great little place - Edit
We enjoyed all our meals at Bamboo Bar. The food was delicious and cheap. Great ambience and very friendly staff, especially Anna. When we had a small problem at the restaurant she went out of her way to fix it for us. We extended our stay at Sihanoukville just to eat more meals here.

Tastess - Edit
We where lucky to have a Russian speaking friend with us, otherwise communication would be worse.
Read moreAbout the food: the Cambodian cook made a wonderfull papaya salad and noodle soup (Cambodian dishes).
But the pastas where tasteless, fat and rancid. No salt, no pepper,. Just pasta, cream, some mushrooms and something they called cheese.
I asked at forehand if the juices where fresh but it was clearly watered and sugared.
A conplaint led to a discussian, defending their choises (not to use salt after complaints of too salty food).
A lot of local cooks hiref by foreign buisinesses cook very good Cambodian dishes but seem not to taste their own made non-Cambodian food. Pity.
Pros: Cambodian gfod is okay
Cons: small portions, relatively expensive, non-Cambodian food is tasteless, watered and sugared fruit juice

Hello! This review as it is not true. I work in the Bamboo Bar Vegetarian for 6 years and never met guests like these. You came three. Two Europeans and one Cambodian. Our waitress came up to you and began to take an order. You asked her, where do you come from? Then one of you began to speak in Russian. First you asked to make a green papaya salad not spicy, then told to put a one chilli. When the order was brought, you were told to bring more chili. We have done everything for you. Drinks are ordered from the menu, there is a contain description. One person ordered Orange Passion (ORANGE JUICE, fresh passion fruit). We did, and he drank without any claim. Then, when calculated, he said that it was necessary to add water, because before in Phnom Penh he drank passion fruit with water. We told him that our recipe is and if he wanted something to change it was necessary to say this in advance. About the PASTA. You ordered pasta with mushrooms, cream and cheese. What brought to you and, as you writes (Just pasta, cream, some mushrooms and something they called cheese.). He say not enough salt and pepper. But we have a vegetarian restaurant and all the sauces are on the table (also many of our customers cant eat a lot of salt in meals). You also told us that it is necessary to add Khmer spices, instead of basil to pasta (WHY KHMER SPICES? PASTA IS ITALIAN MEAL). We apologize, as a guest is always right. All the plates were empty when you left. An hour later, there was a review here. The stated version of events does not correspond to reality. Come and see for yourself. Bamboo Bar is open 24/7!

Laid back, welcoming bar/restaurant - Edit
A (slightly) hidden gem amongst the generic tourist bars. Very welcoming staff, great music and atmosphere (even if you're the only ones in there). Have visited this bar a few times during our stay in sihanoukville. The menu is so diverse, with plenty of options which will appeal to non vegetarians also! The staff are all so polite and friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Cheap beer and interesting cocktail, I highly recommend it!!

Superfood! - Edit
I've been in this place for the first time. Relaxing atmosphere and good music. The food was wonderful! I took the fried noodles with vegetables and it was amazing. Guys make this dish from rice noodles with spinach and a good mix of vegetables. But most importantly, its filed it with flax seeds, chia seeds, and sesame seeds. It's just superfood! Be sure to come back and will recommend to friends!

Always good food and good service - Edit
We went here the first time almost 3 years ago, and now we're back and the place is just as good as always, if not better!! Good food and reasonable prices, a big plus is that a lot of they serve can be made into a vegan option. They also have some nice interesting Russian specialties worth trying!

Very convenient place - Edit
Located just steps away from the beach this place offers wide variety of vegetarian meals, many of which are vegan. It's ran by Russians and they are very friendly and helpful. I had fried rice with veggies, pineapple and peanuts and some chili papaya sauce. Both of those were very tasty. Since they apparently don't do 2 hours breaks in the middle of the day, you can grab something to eat anytime you want. Definitely worth a visit.

VEGAN HAVEN AMONGST SIN CITY - Edit
We visited this restaurant one night as it was the only vegan/veg restaurant in the neighbourhood and we weren't disappointed. The place is run by a friendly Russian couple. The woman is lovely and attentive. The food is great, with lots of variety to choose from and fresh tasty salads (they also have great cocktails). We came back a second time :) Highly recommend. Thank you!!

Atypical vegetarian comfort food - Edit
On the little road down to the beach, this restaurant offers some Russian comfort foods (potato dumpling, booked potatoes band butter, mashed potato and mushroom, blini, beet and cabbage soup) as well as standard veg traveller food - fried rice and noodle dishes, juices, salads. An little odd - but Russian owned it appears. Food was ok - nothing spectacular though BUT we didn't try the vereneki or sauerkraut. We likely won't go back, though. The music was too loud and the service lacked
