first and last time for us, couldn't take special orders - Edit
My friend and I didn't enjoy it too much since we ordered our dishes not spicy and without oil and both of them very pretty spicy, extremely salty and my chickpea masala was swimming in oil. pretty disappointing. the spinach that came with her potatoes was definitely not fresh, we would've guessed it was just out of the freezer.
we also would've wished for their menu to explain what the dishes are in English and not just give the Indian names since we're probably not the only ones who are not familiar with most of them.
the portions were ok I guess.
maybe it is enjoyable though if you enjoy typical Indian food and have no problem with spices and oil.
Pros: seems pretty traditional
Cons: annoying TV, a bit too expensive, weren't able to

Nice Indian meal - Edit
Nice Indian meal, snacks/starters quite big portions, we couldn't finish three between the two of us. Run by a father and son, both friendly. They don't speak a lot of English, so communication was a bit tough. We spent about 350 baht for the two of us, including drinks. Dishes were served with a tasty pickle tray. They've got a table for two outside, the rest in inside seating.
Pros: big portions, friendly service

超夠味 - Edit
進來之後,菜單都看不太懂,看著照片亂點,結果都意外的好吃,偏重口味,我有特別交待 不要蒜、不要洋蔥,服務很好!

Best value Indian in Bangkok - Edit
Balluchi's is a great little Indian restaurant, probably the best value Indian meal in Bangkok. Try the Thali for 120 Baht.

Pure veg!! - Edit
Nothing to look at and yes I agree with the last review the giant tv takes over the quiet small space-some nice indian music would be so much better and enticing....... However to find a pure veg indian restaurant in this area of Bangkok so close to Khao San Rd is a joy!!! Travelled in India loads over the last ten years and find the food here is very tasty-they ask how spicy you want it too. Very sweet staff. Needs a bit of business though as it's always quiet.
I wish it luck-as a vegetarian it's a delight to have pure veg indian food within walking distance of my hotel.
Pros: Food is tasty and fresh, Location in Banglampoo, It's pure veg!!
Cons: No atmosphere, Can be a bit stuffy in there

Underwhelming - Edit
Place was empty and had no atmosphere and they dont seem to make any effort to attract or engage customers. The waiter more interested in surfing youtuber on the big tv at the front of the restauarnt. The mango lassi was good. The thali disappointing: a bean stew, and an ordinary mixed veg curry. Neither spicy or with any true Indian flavour. The roti was freshly made, but a bit chewy. Overall, food was edible, needed to resort to the pickles to perk it all up, but not really enjoyable. Overpriced for such average cuisine.
