Decent South Indian - Edit
This small restaurant is located in the veg*n hub of Bang Rak, Silom (even some of the 7-11s stock vegan ice creams!) While there are several veg*n Indian eateries in the area, Balaram serves beer - something of an anomaly in SEA veg - so we opted for this place.
We tried a dosa set (masala dosa with idli and wada) and an onion utthapam, the latter of which was the stand-out. Not the most fantastic sambar or chutney I've ever had, but the service is friendly and the food pretty good. The loud TV game show that the staff and owner were watching, however, added to the vague feeling that we were intruding into someone's lounge room.
