Food is amazing and staff really friendly! I wish I would live in Bratislava just to eat here every day. My boyfriend and I had the Seitan Medallions and the Kubano Sandwich… we loved the Kubano Sandwich so much that we ordered a second one even though we were already full. I definitively recommend this place!

We visited Balans pre-covid and absolutely loved it. We ordered way too much food but still managed to eat it all (simply because it was so so good!). Loved the fried cheese and potato salad in particular! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Really tasty burrito! It’s in my top 2 burritos ever 🏆. And believe me, I’ve tried many and I’m not saying this lightly as I’m very picky when it comes to food 😄.
Read moreIt’s a hip place with a cozy outdoor area, it was packed when I was there. Menu includes English translation. Staff was very friendly. Not the lowest prices but still count as reasonable for the quality you get in return. Definitely a must visit if you’re in Bratislava 💯.

Just amazing, first time for me at the new location (great idea to move), I have never met staff that is nicer than in here. Amazingly big number od options, perfect local beer and food was just perfect, even though I was dying with my Hot Spicy pizza.

We came here twice during our 2 night stay in Bratislava. The staff were really friendly. Our burgers were delicious and it was nice to have a homemade meat patty rather than branded. The wine was nice too and very cheap. Definitely check this place out when in Bratislava.

Very few people in my opinion would argue that if they would have to recommend one, and only one bistro to visit in Bratislava during a short trip, Balans would be THE Bistro. And truth to be told, those few that would argue otherwise will simply be wrong 🤣

Whether you choose to grab a lunch here from their creative lunch menu, or simply want some comfort food, Balans is the place to satisfy all your needs.
That is exactly what Balans is, a comforting reassurance that when everything goes wrong, you have a place to grab delicious food, and suddenly feel that all of that is just a rainy day that will pass ❤
P.S. It is worth mentioning that I have probably never met such a personnel in the restaurant business before. It is typical for vegan restaurants to have great service, but there is something else at this place that makes you feel like the most important person in the world for the staff every single time you walk through their door.
Once we mentioned to them when they were asking us how everything was that it would be great if they had some play area for kids - that might be the one slight negative for this place if you reaaaaaly wanna be nit picky. They said that they haven't thought of that but it is a good idea and will think of something. Suffice to say that I actually believe them and won't be tiny bit surprised if there was an inflatable castle next time we visit 😊
