Only place open at 3pm for food, vegan option clearly stated

All of Besancon seemingly stops serving food after lunchtime, but we only arrived at 2:30pm - thankfully bagelstein was open and had a vegan option! my bagel was great, he knew which breads weren’t vegan, you could add extras if you wanted (Subway style ordering) and the place was cozy enough.

Nice bagels and smoothies

We had the Josefine bagel and the special with falafel. They were big, well topped and tasteful. The smoothies (with funny names like Banana Wintour and Zidedine Banane) were made on the spot from frozen fruit, very refreshing and tasty.

They also have oat milk for in the coffee but we didn't have it because it was way too hot outside.

Unfortunately non of the cakes were vegan. Hopefully they add that to the menu.

The girls at the counter were very kind though. They are open every day feom 8:00 till 21:00 (on Sunday till 20:00) so if you're hungry in Besançon, go here!
