Delicious lunch every time - Edit

Whenever I'm in for a fancy lunch, I go to the Bagels&Beans for some great bagels accompanied by some great coffee (beans).
My personal favourites is a hummus, sun-dried tomatoes, and rocket lettuce on an "everything sourdough" bagel, but they have some other great vegetarian and vegan options as well.
They have a vegan red bell pepper cream "cheese" that can be enjoyed on a bagel of choice with optional some avacodo added as well, they also serve a Dutch Weed Bagel (a variant of the Dutch Weed Burger specifically developed for B&B due to them not having a grill, so they can prepare it in the oven instead) which is vegan as well, my aforementioned favourite is also vegan, they also have the "Awesome Prana" which is hummus, avocado, bean sprouts, dukkah(Egyptian herbs) & lettuce, which of course is also vegan . They've also got a bagel with banana maple syrup, and cinnamon, and the Bagelwith peanut butter and the bagel with jelly are probably also vegan if you ask them to leave off the butter (you might want to ask just to be sure though, as I haven't ever had them myself, but usually jelly and peanut butter tend to be vegan I believe)
For the vegetarians amongst us (like myself) the following additional options are available: any type of cream cheese on a bagel of choice, optionally with added avocado, a bagel with grilled zucchini & mozzarella, a bagel with goats cheese & honey, a bagel with mushroom burger (that has parmesan cheese in the burger patty), a bagel with wild mushroom croquettes, a bagel with chocolate sprinkles, a bagel with just butter, and a burger with mozzarella, tomato, pesto, pinenuts, & basil.
Furthermore, if you don't mind eating bugs (depending on your reasons behind being a vegetarian or vegan, as well as whether or not bugs gross you out) there's an option for that as well, dome crickets, mealworms, and grasshopper, with a cream cheese of choice and some avocado and sun-dried tomatoes.

All with all some delicious bagel options, and there are also some options for porridge (prepared with oat drink, so probably vegan), yoghurt, vegetable& mushroom "meat" balls, salad, sweet baked goods, and of course the drinks: some nice juices, a lovely choice of teas, and of course some good coffee options (with soy, almond, and/or oat drink as options to replace milk).

So far every time I've been there has been an absolutely great experience, and I'll reccomned it to anyone looking for a great lunch or some afternoon coffee or tea.

Pros: Excellent food, Plenty of options, Friendly staff

Cons: No clear vegetarian/vegan markings on the menu, On the expensive side (for me as a student), A bit too hipsteresque

Vegan chicken bagel - Edit

It's a really nice place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. They can provide a clear overview on which you can check all the ingredients and allergens. They serve coffee with soy or spelt milk. Further, they don't have many vegan options unfortunately. They have a bagel with banana and maple syrup, one with hummus, rucola and sun-dried tomatoes or so and one with vegan fake chicken, some veggies and a sesame teriyaki sauce.

I had the brown spelt bagel with the vegan chicken but I didn't really like it, for it didn't have much taste and was quite dry. That was a pity. Sadly much of the sauce had already ran out onto the plate when I got the meal, so maybe it would've been better if that didn't happen.

I never asked if they could substitute cream cheese with hummus thereby creating more vegan options, so I don't know about that. That would be nice though.

Pros: good athmosphere, friendly staff, clear menu

Cons: not many vegan options (on card)

NienkeFleur 02 Jan 2018 - It may have changed since you've been there, but currently they also have a vegan red bell pepper cream 'cheese', so that gives you 2 additional options (a bagel of choice with just that cream 'cheese', or a bagel of choice with avocado and that cream 'cheese')
