Badaboom - Edit

You think you're helping veganism by giving a positive review to this restaurant either (1) just because it's vegan, or (2) because you're friends with the owners? GROW UP. The future of the vegan movement is not going to be OVER-PRICED, TERRIBLE FOOD. If I took my mom to eat here, what would her impression of veganism be? Terrible. Meanwhile, I'm a dedicated (ethical) vegan, just trying to get a decent meal (at a decent price) AND THIS AIN'T IT. Just looking at the food and looking at the price-tag, I wanted to laugh. No, this would not even be impressive if your brother made it for a picnic: relative to the standards of REAL CUISINE, this is a bad joke. Grow up, vegans: maybe some of these positive reviews are really "fake" (maybe owners of restaurants trying to promote themselves, etc.) --but I suspect some of them are "sincere but misguided". I'm a busy parent: this was a crushing disappointment that I didn't need. The owners asked me if the food was good (at the end). I didn't lie to them. It was terrible.

bbasalgete 09 Aug 2017 - Can you please give more details about what you had and the pricing? I have talked to our staff, and there's no recollection of an unhappy client who came to the restaurant last week. This forum aims to provide constructive feedback, so the more details you can provide the better we can improve what is not meeting our clients' needs. All the vegan establishments on the cote d'azur function like a community, and are amenable to finding solutions for our clients. It's more constructive to communicate your concerns onsite, because it could change your experience!

Tasty and good value but beware of not-vegan items - Edit

We arrived during tea time and had a couple of juices, and, since we wanted to eat something light, the chef provided us with a wrap (not in the menu).

The juices were fresh, and the wrap was tasty.
The service was also friendly.

However, we did not find out until later that one of the juices contained honey (the one based on their "jun tea"). Moreover, from what I understand, pollen may be used too sometimes.
So, perhaps it would be great if they could clearly indicate which juices/food they offer are not vegan.

Otherwise, it's better to confirm when ordering.

Pros: tasty, friendly staff

Cons: not all vegan

Disappointed - Edit

not a lot of choice, a lot of "cold" food, small portions, and we were cold inside in November.

Good food and a welcoming atmosphere. - Edit

This is a great addition to Nice's burgeoning vegan scene, We both had a delicious bowl of fennel soup with potatoes and carrots, flavoured with various spices and herbs. As it was Christmas I also had a small bûche de Noël as dessert.

The couple running the restaurant both speak English and were very friendly and welcoming.

Pros: Fresh, tasty home made food, all vegan, Choice of vegetable and fruit juices, Friendly, welcoming and informal atmosphere.

Food with love! - Edit

Wow! This place is not to be missed. The space is really nice and there is wifi! Yay! There is no English menu but the man working (the owner?) was so helpful and translated everything for me. I ended up choosing the sweet potato hummus with quinoa and salad and it was delicious! The chef (his wife?) was chopping everything up right there. She even came out once when I was waiting to ask me if I liked figs. I said, "Sure!" And my salad included some delicious figs. It felt like I was at someone's house and they were preparing something just for me. So good!

Great Vegan Restaurant! - Edit

I visited Badaboom on my last day and really glad I was able to make the trip. You can tell there was a lot of passion put into this restaurant as it was evident in their delicious food!

In the short time I had, I was able to try the 'Salade Du Samedi' which amazing! (recommended) It went down really well with a fresh fruit juice which seemed to be a speciality of theirs.

The restaurant is ran by a couple who both were very very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend you make a trip down here! :)
