Killer bagels!

The place was hoppin’ at 11am, but the line moves fast. They already ran outta tomatoes, so I couldn’t get the sandwich I wanted. Oh well.

This is the best bagel I’ve ever had fr. So fresh, it was still warm after the ride home. So soft w/a perfectly crunchy crust + both sides are evenly seeded + salted like a proper everything bagel.

The schmear is another story…strangely translucent + goopy. Not terrible, but not good! They def switched brands since the last review, so maybe we can convince them to switch back?

UPDATE: I spoke to the owner + it’s Violife! I was stunned until I realized it’s coconut oil based, so of course it melts on a hot bagel. Unfortunately, Stockeld’s is prohibitively expensive, but he’s def gonna switch brands bc he wants a great vegan option. So glad I reached out. Stay tuned for an update!

Pros: quality, friendly, fast

Cons: the schmear is weird, they sell out quickly

Serves Stockeld vegan shmear!

These are definitely not our favorite bagels. First off, they are so salty I could barely eat it. I was picking salt flakes off my sesame bagel. I could understand it if I had ordered a salt bagel or something salty in the description, but this was a sesame bagel. Please stop with the salt! They do have a really good vegan shmear here though from Stockeld Dreamery. It’s the garlic and herb flavor, so yum. It’s a little softer than tofutti, but has much better flavor IMO. It’s got more tang and more complexity. It’s a shame they barely put any on the bagel though. A bit disappointing, but they are new, so hopefully they get better over time. Until then, I might order just the shmear and get my bagels elsewhere.

Protip: if you like fizzy espresso drinks, try the dark and stormy. My partner says it was delicious, but you have to stir it.

Pros: Vegan shmear that is actually good

Cons: Bagels are not good and too salty, Not enough shmear on bagel
