Yet another reason to visit Rotown every chance you get - Edit
The typical beer smell of a concert venue put me off at first, not what you’re looking for for lunch. But the food was good, enjoyed the ‘kip-kerrie’ sandwich. Very affordable as well.
Read moreNot the fastest service even if it was very quiet. Non-vegan cookies with the hot drinks is stupid. I love rotown as a concert venue, i enjoyed the food, just change to lotus cookies or something and make it vegan.

Everything was even better than expected. The whole menu is vegan and the food was amazing. Good variety of food including Indian and Indonesian dishes, as well as burgers etc.

Love their all vegan food, plenty of variety on the menu, and reasonable prices. Some great desserts!
Read moreBut: they are situated in another venue (Rotown) and the bar is run by Rotown. And they don't get veganism, apparently, as they have served me a non vegan biscuit with my tea and coffee several times now.
Backstage says this cannot be helped, but if that is so, this should be announced clearly on the tables or such, as the Backstage customers expect everything to be safe to eat

We had the kapsalon and the kapsamosa and both were incredibly tasty. It was hard to decide because everything on the menu sounded good so we will have to come back for sure.

We started with appetizers and it was really delicious. Then we ordered a burger and something else. Both dishes were very spicy. It was too spicy for me, although my boyfriend liked it. It is a pity that the waiter did not specify, about the sharpness. However, everything was very tasty.

I had the Seitan ribs with fries and bitterballen. The fries were homemade and the sauces incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for desert but it sounded really good!

Great music at a reasonable volume level so it wasn't uncomfortable. Best kapsalon I've ever eaten, and the server was incredibly friendly and helpful! Will definitely eat here more often.

We really enjoyed the food here, which was good quality and had good portions. I had the Green Oatburger, my partner the bread with hummus, tapenade and oil. Both were good and the Blood orange juice was very nice as well. The ambiance is not what I expected from a snackbar, but it was fun and different (like a rock bar). A bit loud though, so if you're not in the mood for that you might want to go somewhere else.

Sushi on the weekends! - Edit
I've tried vegan sushi, which is available only on Fridays and Saturdays. Very tasty, in decent price (12 euro), prepared quite quick. Plates are not big, around 8 pieces, but it was so delicious I've ordered one more plate 😋 the biggest disadvantage - lack of the option to order mixed pieces (different variants on one plate) just to taste a bit of every type. Despite of that, I recommend very much:)

Very friendly service. Food is fancy snacks, 'borrel hapjes' and some salads. I had the kapsamosa which was nice, but not as good as actual home made Indian style samosas (these were more like the cheap ones from the Chinese store). Overall very nice though.

Good food. Very standard vegan food, like burgers with fries. But also some special things! I had the kapsamosa. Which is a kapsalon but with samosa’s. Suuuuuper delicious taste, a bit like a curry. Great paired with one of their many beers.
