Say you're veg/have an allergy - Edit
While there is apparently vegan frozen bread to buy to go, on 2022-04-17 when I asked about vegan food options I was told the fresh bread only came as part of a set meal with an entree and a salad. None of the entrees could be made vegan apparently, so I asked to get the set with no entree. The manager was nice and asked me about whether I could eat eggs etc and then made the salad extra big and said I could have as much bread as I wanted. The set meal was 950 yen or so and included self-serve fountain drinks and a bread condiments bar. The bread was fantastic.
