Delicious vegan loaf!

I came here a while back and got the vegan meatloaf and a cake. All was delicious! Soo happy they had a separate vegan menu. Hopefully they reopen soon!

Pros: Tasty

Cons: Pricey

Temporary closure due to fire Dec 2018

We love the separate vegan menu here and they have great ambience. I highly recommend dining in the back garden when possible. Sadly they had a terrible fire recently and will be closed for probably several months.

love this place

Been going for years. Food is fresh and it's the kind of place you can enjoy outdoor seating, fireplace during colder months, and there are items on the menu to accommodate everyone. I have a soft spot for this place

Gluten free vegan bread!!

I've loved this restaurant for years but haven't been since my celiac diagnosis. They offer both a dedicated vegetarian menu and a separate vegan menu with "gluten friendly" items marked. Nothing is officially 100% gf because of cross contamination issues but they do have quinoa bread that is so so good! I had the portabella sandwich with fries and know I'll be back for that delicious bread and to try their vegan gf desserts!

Pros: Dedicated vegan menu!

Cons: Popular weekend spot so it gets loud! Go during an

magical garden

After several strip-mall dining experiences, it was great to experience a place with great ambience, especially the back garden of Baba Yega.
They have a vegan menu (ask for it) and my vegan sister & I both enjoyed our meals. I had the hippie meatloaf with mashed potato & gravy, which was good.

While good, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this, food-wise, over most exclusively vegan or vegetarian restaurants, but this is a fantastic place to bring mixed group (omnivores & vegans). The wait staff & ambience are great.

Pros: vegan menu, great decor , friendly staff

awesome restaurant!!

love love love this place! they have a separate menu for vegetarian, and a separate menu for vegan! the food is delicious, and it's such a cute little restaurant. the wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu as well. while its not completely vegan/veggie, that can be a plus because there are options for your meat eating friends. highly recommend this place! would give 5 stars if happycow allowed me to (but it's only allowing 4 stars since it's not completely vegan/vegetarian)

It is hard to find nicer sit down vegan restaurants for date night or client lunches and this is definitely a perfect spot for those! LOTS of vegan options that are delicious. Vegan desserts as well!

Pros: separate vegan menu , vegan desserts , great atmosphere

Favorite Houston Restaurant

They have a separate menu for vegetarian and vegan dishes, but it's a large one with lots of amazing options. The staff is always great and the indoor and outdoor atmosphere is gorgeous. This is my go to for vegan food.

In love

I came to Baba Yega for the first time on my birthday. I reserved a table for my family, friends and I. Everything was set up nicely when we arrived and this place is SO CUTE! They have a nice garden area that is great for pictures and they even have seating there. There are a good amount of vegan options on a separate menu. The mimosas were really, really good. My whole family (all meat eaters) and some of my friends (vegetarians) all loved their food. Definitely will be coming back, especially for their brunch because I hear great things!

Pros: Good Food, Great staff

Cons: N/a

great hippie meatloaf!

Amazing food with two types of dressings (gravy and red marinara like sauce) good mashed potatoes, not too dry either!!! And the warm spinach is the jammmmmmm! Everything is about 10-15 bucks a plate unless it's a salad. Reasonable and delicious!

Excellent!!

Breath of fresh air. They actually have a separate vegan/vegetarian menu to offer. That alone merits 5 stars since it's rare to find that around Houston. This is a great restaurant to go with friends who are not vegan. There is something for everybody. I wasn't a huge fan of the "hippy vegan meatloaf", but everything else there has been spot on.

Pros: separate vegan/vegetarian menu, cute & cozy restaurant , brunch is great also, alcohol available

Baba Yega is awesome for vegans (and their omni friends!)

Baba Yega has a separate vegan/vegetarian menu where everything is clearly labelled. The vegan hippie meatloaf is amazing and I get it almost everytime I go! On Thursdays everything on the veg menu is discounted :) This is the perfect place when dining with veg and non-veg company!

Really nice

Came here in a big group so was delighted when they had an entire vegetarian menu AND a vegan menu. The food was really nice wholesome food and delivered very quickly even though there were 22 in our group!

Fun atmosphere and very friendly staff. I'd definitely recommend it.

Pros: friendly staff

Fun stop for a bite to eat

Really enjoy coming to Baba Yega. Have tried a bunch of items off of the vegetarian and vegan menus. The Vegetarian Club and the California are both favorites! From their starter menu, both the guacamole and the hummus have always tasted extremely fresh.

There is a nice area with a fountain and pond to sit in out back, weather permitting.

Be warned - there can be a bit of a wait, especially if you're stopping by for brunch!

Pros: Fresh Ingredients, Friendly Staff, Good Variety
