Tasty Gujarati/Rajasthani food

We had Suki bhajee (Indian spice mashed potato), Chawli curry (black eyed pea curry), with Lemon & coriander rice and Bhakri (wholewheat bread). It was all really good and made a change from the standard Palolem/Patnem beach front restaurants which mostly have the same menus and average food. As with most restaurants we visited in India we were able to ask for our food to be cooked with no ghee/butter and this was no problem (asking for changes to dishes is much easier than in the UK!).
The only reason I am not giving five stars (and this is more our fault), is that when the waiter asked if coconut oil is fine we should have asked for a vegetable oil as I think the food would have tasted better with a more neutral oil.
