A pretty good vegan option in otherwise vegan desert - Edit
I came in here with a client for lunch, after finding it on HappyCow. It’s a pretty standard Thai restaurant, with all of the typical dishes on the menu. Although the front of the menu says, “ask about vegan options,“ I found that neither our waiter nor another waiter that was called over had any clue about vegan options. Our waitress was completely confused by what vegan meant. She called over a waiter to help her and he responded by saying that I can have the meat taken out of any dish. There were no vegan dishes, just dishes that could be made vegan by removing the meat. I asked him about fish sauce, egg, and other things that are not vegan and he seem confused by this. My trust level was low.
Read moreIn any case, this is a very large restaurant. It’s got very interesting decor, and the place was fairly crowded. I ordered fresh spring rolls and pad Thai. The spring rolls were made by removing the shrimp, but nothing else was added, so it was stuffed with lettuce and rice noodles. Nothing special, but adequate. The pad Thai was good, a large portion, and well-made. Was there fish sauce in their pad Thai sauce? I have no idea, I’m trying not to think about it. :)

Amazing Thai - Edit
It's a beautiful restaurant and service is typically very good (depending on who's working that day). The food is so good that I make the drive from St. Joseph to Leavenworth just to eat.

Spring Rolls - delicious!
Basil Fried Rice - The best basil fried rice that I've had so far. Ordered with well done tofu and "hot" spice level, no egg, added garlic. Amazing flavor!
Gang Dang (red curry) - with tofu and spice level "hot" - it was creamy and delicious!
