Serves meat, vegan options available. Has a vegan section highlighted in the menu including stir-fried, soup, and noodle dishes. บ้านสหายคาเฟ่ - in Thai. Reported closed, May 2023.
Clear menu but small portion, not enough for dinner. - Edit
Great that the menu has a clear vegan section with no hint of diary/fish etc as others sometimes do.
I ordered the Thai stir fried mushroom, which tasted nice but literally was just 1 type of mushroom and a few bits of carrot. I'm not sure if I was meant to order noodles or rice to go with it because its definitely not filling.. but okay for breakfast! I had a little bit of the partner's salad to add a bit more texture/flavour to the meal.
Coffee is decent and the satsuma juice was lovely.
It's a shame they don't have plant milk as they have an impressive selection of milkshakes, smoothies and frappes - an oreo shake would have gone down a treat!
First of all it is good to find a place that provides vegetarian food late at night. So far I have only found the traditional 'jai' style restaurants that close in the afternoon. The place it self is nice and friendly. There is a vegan section on the menu which had about 4 options that were basically a mix of rice / noodles and vegetables. I had the fried rice and vegetables which was basically rice and a couple of vegetables thrown in. Thank god I wasn't that hungry. Maybe I just choose the wrong option.
