Incredible experience, artist, and tattoo - Edit
I was a bit hesitant to get a tattoo while traveling and not being familiar with local artists. However, I am extremely thrilled that I did end up doing so, thanks to Nate at Baan Khagee. As many others in the reviews have noted, the drive there and the studio in the mountains are an incredible experience in themselves.
Read moreRegarding the tattoo, I had reached out to Nate and described my rather large/complex design (pictured). He responded right away and sent me a rough design. We went back and forth over the course of a few days and he patiently accommodated each edit I requested until it was perfect.
He used brand new needles and ink, putting any concerns regarding hygiene at ease. Everything was done professionally. Also, the ink he uses is vegan which is a huge plus.
Most importantly, Nate prioritizes his clients’ comfort. Can’t recommend this experience and artist enough. Will definitely be coming back here one day!

I adore these ink. Knowing that they use vegan inks was great. A vegan ink is made using vegetable-based glycerin, witch hazel, or ethanol, as well as carbon or logwood to provide a black color. According to a tattoo artist on the Facebook group Ask a Professional Tattoo Artist, the difference between inks other than black lies in the liquid or carrier used by companies to bind powder colors. I was eager to give this a try. Since they offer the nicest designs, I now typically get my temporary tattoos from https://wannabeink.com/collections/jaguar after having three permanent tattoos.
