127 2nd Ave (at 8th St), New York City, New York, USA, 10003

Serves meat, vegan options available. B&H Dairy Vegetarian restaurant is all veggie except for fish dishes. A proper old fashioned diner, with a counter and stools as well as tables. Extensive kosher vegetarian menu with Eastern European influence. Stuffed cabbage and blintzes. soups, challah bread, fresh juices. Large portions. Vegans to specify.

Low-key, very high quality, ‚home made‘ - Edit

Excellent, 100% low-key restaurant, probably the smallest in Manhattan since Polish ‚Stage Café‘ across the street of B&H folded. Kosher / vegetarian but that includes fish etc. Enough vegan options which are labeled ‚vegetarian’ — so ask staff. Dishes of the day available. Open on Sundays. Close to Astor Pl subway stop and bus stops. Full meal including soup around 13 USD. Friendly staff, do not forget to tip them even though they operate f/ behind the counter. Cash only, ATM outside. Would get five stars if it was vegan.
