Ole dirty honee BBQ - Edit
Their Honee BBQ wings are my absolute favorite, and I'm always craving them.
Read moreBoyfriend loves their Blazin B&B Buffalo wings.
Haven't tried any of their dry rubs yet, but my friends have liked everything they've ever tried. One of them highly recommends the Lemon Pepper.
Biscuits are sadly disappointing, they're really small and dry.
Pros: Vegan options, Fresh food
Cons: Pricy

My Favorite Spot - Edit
They're 50% vegan. Everything is separate in the kitchen. Their flavor is out of this world. Please do yourself a favor and get their vegan mozzarella sticks, they're incredible!! And their honee butter biscuits are insane.

Yum - Edit
I love B&B, I’ve been getting their wings, Mac & cheese, and southern biscuits for a few years. But we just tried their sandwiches & those are next level! Philly cheese steak (seitan) & Buffalo chicken patty sandwich— both delicious. The mozzarella sticks were amazing as well. They’ve changed up the interior, so it’s easier to order & wait now. This is a great vegan option in Middletown for take out!

So many wings - Edit
The mozzarella sticks are so good!
Read moreWe tried four different wing sauce options- Buffalo; Blazin Buffalo; Teryaki; and Honee bbq. They were all really good but the Blazin Buffalo is painfully hot! I thought I was going to die lol!
We took our food to the park by the river to eat- it was fun!
Pros: Fun to have wings, Friendly
Cons: Take-out only

Awesome vegan options - Edit
If this was an 100% vegan restaurant, I would rate my experience 4 out of five stars. Since I can only give a max of four stars, I give it three
Read moreI went for the lemon pepper wings. The wings were unexpectedly tender and crispy. I felt it didn’t pack much punch on flavor and was not saucy at all. The texture of the mac and cheese was perfect but didn’t taste like much. The one thing I can’t complain about was the honee biscuit. It was sweet, savory, and sticky 🤤
The prices and portions are crazy. If I was closer to home, I could maybe talk myself into eating here once a month just to see if ordering at different times makes a difference in quality. It was quite the trek for me to get there. Although I didn’t mind driving out to try it, I can’t justify making it a regular thing

Yay for Vegan Chicken Wings! - Edit
Once in a blue moon I get a craving for deep fried & spicy deliciousness and I can always count on B&B to deliver. Be wary that although they offer vegan chicken wings & sauces, vegan ranch & blue cheese, and sides like vegan Mac & cheese- they also sell non-vegan food; so be careful with what you order.

great vegan options (as well as gluten free and keto choices if that helps you). I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, the wings with both buffalo and maple bourbon sauce and the Mac and cheese. Everything was really good, but the Mac and cheese and maple bourbon wings were especially good. The wings are seemingly the mah wey wings you’ll find in NYC that they add additional batter too which makes them more filling and their homemade sauce was [censored] amazing. The Mac and cheese was drowning in cheese which I loved bc there seems to be a very common trend of vegan mac and cheese being barely, or very conservatively, coated with cheese. Lastly, the owners and staff were positive and friendly, great atmosphere.

Love it but Inconsistent - Edit
UPDATE: After a couple years we have frequented B&Bs and recommended it to many friends with surprisingly mediocre reviews. We love the vegan wings, but they are not consistent. We have gotten them undercooked, overcooked, stale, under-sauced and a mix of both many times over. The prices have slowly increased (at the time of this review 7$ for two wings and 15$ for a sandwich). Due to this we have become less frequent customers unfortunately.
Read moreInsanely good. This is a fried chicken joint owned by a couple; one vegan, one not so they have both options. Their vegan wings are just insane. They have a ton of sauce choices to choose from (teriyaki is our favorite). You have to try their bleu cheese. We have gone a bunch of times, tried all the vegan sauces, and the food is always consistent. I believe the chicken is soy based, seems like a may wah product fried in their amazing breading. They also have vegan mac n cheese which was decent and honey biscuit which was so good. The owners are incredibly friendly and courteous. They also have sandwiches including a Philly cheese steak, which was better than the vegan ones we tried in Philly. They have vegan cookies, just everything you could imagine. I’m glad it’s a bit of a drive for us or else we’d be going here daily. It is also not cheap, but it’s an incredible treat. FYI this is definitely a take-out only restaurant as they only have one small table set up outside. There are a couple breweries down the street that you can visit and eat at.
Pros: Insanely good, Tons of creative options, Staff are super nice
Cons: No sit down

5 stars! - Edit
HappyCow won’t let you rate a fully non vegan joint 5 stars which is so unfair for B and B. This place is incredible. Reasonable priced and just a really great group of people there. As a southerner in CT this is the holy grail for me. First time I went here I ate until I got sick.

Amazing "Wings"! - Edit
I ordered from B&B Wings and Things on a Saturday during the COVID -19 pandemic so there was an hour wait but I have no regrets! The owners were so friendly despite the stressful circumstances and the food AMAZING. I ordered 4 vegan wings with garlic "parm" sauce and my sister had 4 vegan wings with thai chili sauce. We split an order of "mozzarella" sticks and fries. The fries were average so I would skip them again in the future but everything else was fantastic and tasted as close to the real thing as I can remember! And the sauces were to die for. We were so pleased and I can't wait to go back to try more sauces and the mac n "cheese" and biscuits! Seriously, I could rave for another paragraph.... but you get the point.

Even my omni friends loved the vegan options - Edit
My first trip here -- over an hour -- was on the hottest day of the year (105°) and they had no A/C and were cooking over a hot stove but were still soooo friendly. They were out of the "summer bbq" specialty items seen on Facebook, but the standard vegan menu was so huge I still had trouble deciding what to order. The vegan philly cheesesteak was heaven, the vegan mozzarella sticks were fantastic (although better without the too-sweet marinara sauce), and my omnivore friends raved about the chicken wings (which are more like the size of a drumstick, with a skewer inside to hold the shape). There is very little room inside, it's really just a counter at which to place and pick-up a takeout order. There are 2 very tiny tables next to the counter, but they fill quickly so plan to walk around Main St. while waiting for your food. (We ate in our air-conditioned car.) It was all worth it, and even the meat-eaters in my group want to go back for more vegan food.

Can’t Receive 5 Stars because they don’t have a full Vegan menu, but it is well deserved with their knowledge, Customer Service, and food safety!

They have an entire vegan menu and cookies. I don't know what the chicken is made of but it's the best meat substitute I've ever had. The food is filling and affordable. They've got a few tables now if you want to eat there.

Best Vegan Fried Chicken in Connecticut! Take out place on Main Street in Middletown that is extremely delicious. The couple that own it, she's vegan, he's not have meat and meat and vegan dishes, they employ separate fryers and it is really good, enjoy!

Get there now! - Edit
I would have loved to give five stars, but Happy Cow won’t allow five stars for any restaurants that serve meat. This place is off the hook AMAZING! I mean drop the mic y'all and get there! Since I had a work meeting nearby, I decided to jump on the bandwagon during my break and try B&B Wings and Things. It's a small take away restaurant with only one table to sit outside (weather permitting). Believe me they did not disappoint!
Read moreRita and her husband Marc were such a sweet couple. He's a meat eater and she's 100% vegan. They offer many options for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores. They cook everything separately so there's no cross contamination. I didn't have much time for my lunch break so I decided to bring home one wing of each flavor along with a side of fries and mac and cheeze for dinner.
The food traveled very nicely. She wrapped each wing individually and instructed me to put the wings in the oven at 350 degrees for a few minutes and watch to ensure the sauce didn't congeal. Came out perfect!
I couldn't eat it all in one sitting because the wings are so filling, so I had half the next day and they were just as delicious the next day! AND the mac and cheeze OH MY! I think they are going to need a bigger place.
Certainly worth the trip!
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Lots of vegetarian options , A place where you can go with friends and family
Cons: Not a sit down restaurant
