Really not changed much in a decade and the menus were looking well thumbed. There's something comforting about that. However, the vegan world has upped its game and I was a little disappointed that the Avocado is still charging extra for plant milk. It's discriminatory and at odds with the animal loving philosophy of restaurants like this.

The food was amazing. We had a vegetable curry (vegan) and a teriyaki burger (vegetarian) which is a bit spicy. I liked it very much and I would definitely eat there again.

This is a fully vegetarian restaurant (cheese/dairy products are on the menu). Many items are vegan by default or can be easily made vegan by e.g. withholding cheese. Prices are a bit high for the area, around €14 per main dish, and serving sizes are pretty standard. There are three street side tables, and lots of indoor seating. Service is pretty quick, and the food is tasty. You can definitely find cheaper food in the city, but it is nice to have a fully veggie restaurant that understands vegan as an option.

The staff here are so kind and the food I had was good. Particularly recommend the vegan pizza with avocado and olives etc., although I forget what it's called. Really good location in Plaka. There could be slightly more options for vegans or ways to modify non-vegan dishes to allow for more choice. I returned and would very much recommend :)

There aren't many comfortable sit-in vegan spots in Athens, but Avocado is a very cute restaurant and cafe with a warm atmosphere. They were quite busy when we came in the afternoon, so I didn't stay long with my shake, which was delicious. The food looked good but we didn't have time to try. Would come back again.

Read moreDelicious salads, I had the marinated tempeh and my partner had the herb salad. Fresh and tasty. I also had a fresh juice which was fantastic, refreshing and a nice size for such a hot day.
It’s not a very large place, 3 or 4 tables outside and probably less than 10 inside. We would totally go back anytime.
