Vegan organic cafe serving breakfast and lunch foods. Breakfast options include avo toast, sprouted bagel with nut butter or plant creme cheese, oatmeal, muesli, muffins, and acai bowl. For lunch there are different choices of salads, quinoa and brown rice bowls plus paninis and pizzas. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and bottles of cold pressed juice available. Opened here in 2018. Reported closed December 2021.

The people here were so detailed. The meticulously made our food with lots of care. Love it! Had the avocado and sprouts toast, the meatball bowl and the banquet burger. Everything was delicious! My son loved the bacon on his burger!

Read moreIt took 30 minutes for our food to come out because they had to make new chickn because they ran out. Would have been nice to have a heads up on the delay rather than have to come in to ask why the delay.
For the price, the portions are tiny.

Loved everything about this place, the food, the atmosphere, etc. Though, the prices were a bit painful, but it was all vegan and organic after all... The BLA salad was great. Shocked they got so much flavor into that tofu. High quality ingredients. I'll be back when I'm in the area again.

I’m sad we were only able to try this place out once but it was a great experience with wonderful food. I had the “tuna” style baguette, a smoothie and the hummus and pita chips. Super filling, amazingly tasty and all organic!

I've been to AVO Cafe a few times now and each time my boyfriend and I share a couple items. The family that runs the cafe are so friendly (as is the big macaw bird in the yard next store haha). The food tastes homemade and is so satisfying. My faves so far have been the Italian Eggplant and the Chicken Pesto panini.

I love this place so much! I got the bacon pizza with the broccolini and the sauce was so yummmm. Also got a banana date smoothie and a choc muffin. All really yummy and tastey! I had it with a non-vegan and even they thought it was tasty!

The food is wonderful the owner and staff were even better. They were very helpful in deciding what to order. We had the Caesar Salad and it was wonderful, the dressing was not over powering and the pumpkin seeds and kale made it substantial. We also had the meatball panini with their spicy sauce. It was great. We highly recommend Avo.

I've only gone twice during my trip to Santa Monica, unfortunately, but I love this place.
The owners and staff are super friendly, and the food is creative and delicious.
The backyard is such a relaxing place to eat, I kept forgetting I was in the middle of the city.
I will definitely, definitely come back when I can. I miss it already.

Lovely little cafe in the neighborhood. Truly dedicated owner and staff. Enjoyed a very simple brunch meal and will be sure to return. Great variety from smoothies to desserts. If the food isn't enough of a draw, then definitely plan a visit to their peaceful outdoor retreat.

Excellent fresh food, I had the blm bowl (thee one with tempeh bacon and a hot sauce that wasn’t too hot). The owners and staff are really lovely and friendly and seem to know everyone who comes in! Great vibe. Also an excellent outdoor patio area out back.
