Great vegan pub fare! - Edit
A comfortable country pub with a whole vegan menu. I love the vegan lasagna and the vegan parma the most. Both come with chips and salad. The carrpt cake with ice cream makes for a tasty dessert after. So happy to have this option in a small country town. Staff are usually warm and friendly.

I appreciate that there’s plenty of options in such a small town, it was surprising to be honest. I tried the vegan lasagne and it was ok but not great. Great flavoured sauce and the tofu ricotta was great but I wasn’t a fan of the snow peas in the lasagne or the large chunks of either silver beet or spinach. But, that’s just a taste thing I suppose. A but odd though I thought. The chips were nice and the vegan aioli was really tasty.

Overall, a good option for a small town and I’d would’ve been keen to try some other items on the menu if I was around longer.

The vegan parma here is delicious! Definitely worth trying if you are in the area. They also offer a variety of vegan cakes and the occasional vegan special! The staff are friendly and relaxed about veganism, which is a refreshing change for a small country town. They have been known to run a vegan banquet day, with a range of tasty vegan dishes that are not usually on the menu, so keep your eye out for these!

Really happy with the wide selection. I had the arancini for a main and brownie with coconut ice cream for dessert. The food was great and staff very friendly. Relaxed atmosphere. Would recommend!

This is my go-to for dinner options in the otherwise very limited options in Korumburra. They do eat in and take away. Tried everything on the vegan menu and the vegan parma is by far my fave.

Great to find a country pub with a good vegan menu - Edit
We’ve been wanting to try out the Austral’s vegan menu for a while as there are large signs advertising it outside the building. We weren’t disappointed - my schnitzel was one of the best pub meals I’ve ever had, and the dessert was yummy. My sister enjoyed her arancini balls. The person that served us was friendly and cheerful and the bistro itself (in a lovely old Federation building) is clean and beautifully restored.
