Way too spicy Indian food

In order to make a reservation, the restaurant requires a credit card and imposes a cancellation fee if the reservation is not honored. Not a huge fan of this, especially when there are so many other eating establishments in Niagara on the lake.

When we made our reservation we noted that we were vegan and the wait staff was ready to show us our dinner options as soon as she handed us the menus. We were very clear that we do not prefer spicy dishes. We were told that what we ordered could be made mild. However, other than the roti bread we ordered, the food was so spicy that we could not enjoy our meal at all. After discussing the situation with management, they prepared a veggie burger from the lunch menu. Fortunately that was not spicy.

The peanut appetizer was removed from our bill as they saw how little we ate of it. We would not recommend this restaurant unless your spice tolerance is high.

Pros: Friendly waitress, Management helped once the problem was identified

Beautiful place with great food

A nice place to have a celebration with great curry options. Lots of kick to the curry with chickpeas. Be prepared to be stuffed.

Good vegan food.

We had the roti with no oil or butter added. We loved the peanut delight! We substituted roti for the fried chips. We loved the mushroom matar and chickpea masala with rice. We would definitely eat here again. I would like to have the peanut delight over a salad. That would make a lovely summer dish. They have other vegan options we have not tried including a house made veggie burger. Service on patio was lovely on a summer night.
