The vegan Burger named Fridays-for-Future was the best vegan burger I ever had. Lentil patties tend to be a little dry. This one was not dry at all, well seasoned and sooo crispy. I loved it! The burger came with stripes of marinated zucchini (courgette), which had a little sour note that added another dimension to the taste and balanced the sweetness of the kahuna sauce.
Read moreFor me the fries could have been fried a little longer. The whiskey dip was gorgeous. The beer was delicious like everything else.
Unfortunately I am a tourist, otherwise I would come here more often and try all the other vegan options.

I was the first arrival on a snowy Sunday and had my choice of seats. The hostess/waitress was helpful and attentive, especially by German standards. I had the vegan burger and fries. The burger itself was large but over-lettuced (4 big leaves hiding most of the insides; it’s a burger, not a salad!) and bland, at least until I removed the lettuce, which I did a bit too late. Fries were plentiful and well cooked with crunchy outsides and fluffy insides. All things considered, a bit pricey for the quality.

If you have your heart set on a menu item, call before you go. The first night we went, the kitchen closed an hour early. The second night, they didn’t have a couple of the veggie burgers shown on the online menu, but they were very apologetic and the burger that we had instead was good.

Plenty of vegan options available and super tasty. Try the monkey burger with caramelised bananas so special!! The location is casual, staff nice and the prices are way ok for fair and good food. The area is disgusting near central station. Dirty with lots of drunk people. For Nürenberg standards this place is outstanding. The city is pretty ugly, dirty with lots of working progress everywhere. This is the place to go to escape the ugliness of this city.

Hipster-like venue, casual atmosphere, for more exclusive customers. Some high-end dishes and spirits, little moderate-priced on the menu. Promotes vegan food, however, meat is high-priced as well, as long as it qualifies as organic and regional. Proper food and proper service. Lots of space, too.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with their attitude, with their self-understanding, yet, personally I don't really enjoy it.
Still, I have to give them credit holding up important issues by supporting local and organic farms and so on.
Pros: high-quality food and service, promoting vegan food, centrally located, easy accessible
Cons: overpriced, hipster-like venue and attitude, promoting meat dishes, too

I ordered a seitan burger which tasted very, very good! The burger was huge, so you will not leave hungry :-) On Monday they have special prices for their vegetarian burgers.

They use 100% organic ingredients, the patties are homemade and they try to buy all their food within a range of 70km. Prices aren't cheap but they pay fair wages. I can recommend the Seitan Burger, the monkey burger and the avocado burger. The monkey burger was by far the best burger I've eaten so far :P

Unfortunately it's located in the South of Nürnberg and that's not just around the corner for me. Otherwise I would visit Auguste much more often!
