AMAZING FONDUE, pricing is extortionate - Edit
I suppose Geneva is expensive in general but my brother and I shared a vegan cashew fondue and with fruit and potatoes (and complimentary bread) and it was 46CHF and they tried to make us order separately because they said the portions were small😭

Cashew Fondue - Edit
Really good cashew fondue. This place serves lots of meat. They also charge you for tap water, if you do not purchase a drink of some sort. With that said, we still really enjoyed the fondue.

Cons: Skip the rosti potatoes. They are boiled.

Good option for dinner with non-vegans - Edit
Has vegan fondue, which I believe to be the New Roots you can buy in the supermarket, but it seems they dilute it too much in wine. Therefore, can't really recommend. The tofu, on the other hand, is tasty.

Great it exists, go to the one in old town - Edit
Although they claim to make it at home, it doesn’t taste fresh. It’s quite expensive for what it is, especially considering the acidic taste it leaves in your mouth. You’ll find a better fondue in the old town😄

The fondue does not melt? - Edit
Agree with other reviews.
Read moreUnfortunately the fondue does not melt, and has a strange, sour taste. The waiter said it's the way this is. As this is my first time trying a vegan fondue, I can't tell if the restaurant is not preparing it the right way or if it's just not a very good product.
Its hard to get full just from this not melted fondue & bread and to make things worse none of the desserts are vegan. I wouldn't recommend this place to vegans: both because of the underwhelming food and because of the overwhelming smell of dairy cheese everywhere in the restaurant. Still, if you would like to experience a super traditional Swiss restaurant this is the only one that serves vegan fondue. So I give it 3 stars for... trying!

Pros: only place serving vegan fondue in Geneva, service was fast
Cons: the vegan fondue doesn't melt, no vegan fondue, the place smells like dairy cheese

Nice food and staff - Edit
Came for a work event, so my experience may not have been typical. The cashew fondue seemed like a good vegan option, and the staff seemed friendly about bringing extras and checking everything was ok with us.

Vegan Fondu - Edit
We enjoyed our experience. The vegan fondu was with cashew cheese and it was tasty. we reserved a table a couple of days before and informed them that we are all vegan. They brought bread and boiled potatoes. we ordered a mixed salad and a portion of fries. It was very expensive but we appreciated the experience.

Cashew fondue - Edit
My partner and I visited this restaurant because it was one of the only places we could find that offered a vegan fondue. We always try to eat something traditional when we are away on holiday and what is more Swiss than a fondue?
Read moreThis vegan fondue was made with cashews so it's unsuitable for anyone with a nut allergy. It is important that you call ahead or ask the waiters before you sit down whether they have the cashew fondue available on that day because they don't always have the ingredients to make it.
Unfortunately the fondue did not meet expectations, it was very sour tasting and coagulated. It was served with bread but we also ordered some new potatoes as we didn't feel like we would be full from just the bread. Both the bread and potatoes were bland and not seasoned at all.
The 'vegan tax' on this meal was also ridiculous. It cost €11 more per person than the standard non-vegan equivalent (€36 Vs €25)and they will only make the fondue if there are at least two people ordering it so you are looking at €22 more for a vegan fondue at least!
The total price of this 'meal' for the fondue for two, the potatoes, the bread and two beers came to an eye-watering €100! I couldn't quite believe it! I knew that Geneva was expensive but this really took the mickey!
Also, it is important to note that because this is a non-vegan establishment which specialises in dairy fondue, the smell of cheese is extremely pungent in the air and there is lots of paraphernalia on the walls relating to the dairy industry such as cowbells etc. this could potentially be upsetting for some people.
Overall, I would not recommend a visit to this restaurant if you are vegan however if you are like us and crave traditional but cruelty-free food experiences when travelling, you will be hard pushed to find a vegan fondue elsewhere. If you do happen to find another place that does a good quality vegan fondue in Geneva please get in touch with me and let me know where you found it so I can visit on my next trip!
