Serves meat, vegan options available. Uses local products (juice, beer) and some organic ones. Multiple vegetarian options: quiche, croque monsieur, pancakes, omelette, veggie sandwich. Vegan-wise there is nothing stated on the menu but if you ask kitchen will provide a vegetable stew. In high season it is advisable to book and in low season the hours might change. Happy, but...

Basically there are some pretty mixed reviews (ranging from great to absolutely terrible, but with seemingly not much in between) about the service (rarely the food) received from the owner and waiters on some other sites (in French). In our case, we were walking up the hill in the rain, carrying our bike bags, to the church and stopped to reserve a table for lunch. The owner even offered to store our bags for us whilst we walked around, which clearly we were very happy about (although if you're cynical it was to ensure that we came back, but they were full in the end despite the rain, so I doubt he needed to!).

Food-wise, we had the vegan option, which was the vegetable stew, plus the vegetarian croque monsieur (quite a rarity in France!) which was potato & aubergine on toast with a Roquefort sauce + salad. Both were very nice and we were happy with the food. We also enjoyed the local organic juices.

The server was superficially friendly, if maybe a bit strange, one thing that worried us afterwards was that he didn't show us the receipt, just stated the total and we paid. Had we thought we should have asked for the receipt, but the amount didn't seem at all outrageous, so no alarm bells rang.

Difficult to conclude, but I guess that you'll have to chance your luck with this place: don't expect an amazing service and maybe you'll be surprised on a good day!
